Default Top Ten Most Ridiculous Horror Movies

I don't mean the worst ones (for example, Halloween would be on my Worst List) but I mean the ones that are too bizarre, or over the top, or surreal, or just plain insane. Movies that you might see on Sunday nights on TCM when they play their crappy midnight movies. Or movies that probably should have been given the MST3K treatment.

My votes go to the original 13 Ghosts and Night of the Lepus.

I'm going to add Mary Shelley's Frankenstein because it was just ridiculous from beginning to end.

What? I didn't say I didn't like Lost Boys, just that it's ridiculous.

What was the ridiculous part? A vampire infestation in one of the brightest, sunniest places in the country? A bleached-blond Kiefer Sutherland leading a pack of wild 80s vampire rejects? Cory Haim and Cory Feldman as vampire hunters?

    Oh.

Well maybe you have a point.

    Classic and ridiculous is fantastic.

Oh, and I'm reminded of another one from that same era!

    Monster Squad.

    Kick him in the nards!

    What?

    KICK HIM IN THE NARDS!

    Wolfman doesn't have any nards!

I have to admit this here.......I have seen Monster Squad more times than I have ever seen any other movie. I've literally seen it perhaps 200 times. We had it on VHS when I was a kid and between my and my three brothers it was honestly on all....day....long.

    JUST DO IT!

I loved The Night Of The Demon when I first saw it, but watching it again recently makes me realise it is ideally suited for MST3K treatment.

And let us not forget the followup:

    "...Wolfman's got nards."

Edit: That was in reference to Cluricaun, not ivan.

No, the Dana Andrews movie? That's a good little horror flick with some chilling moments. The monster looks like absolute crap, though.
everything in nature is sort of gross when you look at it too closely. what is an apple? basically the uterus of a tree - terrifel

I find it hard to believe that anything can beat the insanity that is Night of the Lepus. Though Squirm tried really, really hard. (I find it revealing that Squirm is actually lower rated on IMDB than Night of the Lepus.)

I kinda like Squirm. I found it to be watchable without the MST3k treatment.

I'll admit there is the ick factor that cannot be ignored - being submerged in earthworms would squick most anyone out. And that squicking can be built upon for a true frisson of horror.
