    Default Heroes, Season Four

I know a few other people have been watching it and rather than having brief discussions in chat that disappear into the ether, I thought we might stick some of it in here.

    So what are everybody's thoughts?

It's still relying on plots that can only work if the characters are mentally deficient (Parkman's power is now an "addiction" and he couldn't tell one of those many other evolved humans he knows about what he's going through? He has to keep it a secret? Nobody's checking up on "Nathan"?), which is annoying. I really, really hate when TV shows have these situations that could be solved if everybody just spoke to each other.

But, it's also been fairly entertaining and engaging and I'm still checking in to find out what happens next, which is a good sign.

Once more, they find themselves facing a weakened but alive Sylar and doing nothing.

Once more, Claire bitches about secrecy and wanting to be normal while running crowded streets around shoving knives into her armpits. Metaphorically.

Peter is no longer emo, just a little neurotic, but now Parkman is having a cry for no reason.

Mental Sylar is likable for the first time since S1, though Nathan Sylar is the worst character yet.

Noah is still kicking arse in every way except smacking some sense into Claire.

The nerfing of Hiro continues uninterrupted.

But I like the Irish carnies, so far. A little annoyed at Inkguy earthing that house - what did he expect to happen? "Oh, come on in! Help yourself to some food and heirlooms!" - but as long as they don't drag out the mysteriousness I will be happy. Deafchick is cool, I'm liking the reverse Daredevil effect, though what she has is not a power. Icechick disappears, never to return?

The Haitan returns, but needs to become the immovable wall Future Haitan from S1 was. He was cool.

PS - if Gretchen killed Claire's roommate, that will be the lamest twist. I know I know, it is suggested she jumped, but in a world with mind control and similar abilities, I'm pretty sure she was murdered.
Something tells me we haven't seen the last of foreshadowing.

I think it's pretty well established that Parkman is borderline retarded. I like Sylar mindfucking Matt every chance he (Sylar) gets.

I stopped watching this abortion of a series about when they refused to kill Sylar, and continued to give Peter air time regardless of the fact that he is the worst actor/character ever. Yah and Claire needs a good smack in the mouth.

I guess it was just too super hero for me. I miss that cold fear from The Wire where you never know whose going to die in tonights episode.

If you like hero's though that's fine, a lot of my friends still do.

I know this show gets wonky with time, so has anybody paid enough attention to figure out what year it's supposed to be in show time? Because Matt's wife was pregnant at the start of Season One and either his kid is as slow as he is and just now learning to walk and talk at three years old, or else these four seasons have taken place in under two years.
