a) All those scenes with Lucifer and his 'vessel' were pretty effectively creepy.
b) Bobby is the king badass of all badasses.
OK, so I might be talking to myself here, but I just had to mention that I could watch Dean mouthing off to angels all day. And angry Castiel is really cool.
shameless bump
He doesn't want to be an angel condom!![]()
My theory is that Lucifer is actually the one that put them on that plane.
It's just we're only told about Lucifer from the angels and demons. We have effectively one side of the story. They both seem to think he's some sort of evil badass. But I don't remember seeing any scenes of the demons interacting at all. For all we know Lucifer doesn't want anything to do with the demons. Sure he wants to kill God but God could be a total evil asshole.
Then there is the fact that the angels are absolute pricks (Castiel and Anna excluded) While Good =/= Nice some of the angels seem to be just as bad as any of the demons.
Also, God seems to be AWOL. The Archangels don't know where he is. Lucifer probably didn't have anything to do with his disappearance because he was sealed in Hell at the time.
Maybe angels need to get informed consent.
Orual, now you're talkin'.
You know, that character isn't nearly as well-developed as Sam and Dean, but still when he told Sam to take a hike I thought, "That doesn't sound like Bobby!" Sadly, I thought it was just bad writing.
Because the Winchesters are full of guilt and shame?
Well yes, but this is Sam, who spent the entire first season flagellating himself for not realizing that his dream about his girlfriend burning on the ceiling was prophetic.
At this point he's probably a being of pure guilt and angst. Which I find terribly entertaining, because I am a sick, sick puppy.
So what did everyone think of the episode on 10/1?
I liked it a lot. Oldies music plus zombie-shooting is always lovely combination. Castiel-in-the-present made me laugh and laugh, while Castiel-in-the-future just creeped me out.
(I have further thoughts, but I am on my way out the door. Back later.)
I loved Castiel just standing there, by the side of the road. Future Castiel depressed me, though.
I assume Bobby is supposed to be dead?
Zachariah showed up on "Glee" and I shouted "It's Zachariah!" The cats didn't care.
I can see why Dean might eventually give in to Michael. I can't see why Sam would give in to Lucifer.
True, but I assume viewers are supposed to think that Sam giving in could happen.
I never thought that the 'future' was anything but what Zachariah thought would make Dean give in. Sam-as-Lucifer seemed like a scare tactic to me (especially taken with the way future-Dean talked. "Oh, if you don't take the angels up on their 'generous offer' now, you'll sure be sorry!") I don't know if the viewers were supposed to think otherwise, but I certainly didn't.
I thought the previous meeting between Sam and Lucifer was supposed to leave us with the feeling that Sam was vulnerable, and then the "future" was to reinforce that--without Dean, Sam was low-hanging fruit.

Ah. I didn't see the blood and bullet holes, just the wheelchair.
Anybody watch this week?
Sam decapitated Paris Hilton! I knew there was a reason I liked that guy.
