Chat is at the bottom of the board index! Look below the forums. There should be a big gray box that says something to the effect of inactive chat.

Funny, I was chat-enabled the moment I arrived, and was listed as being in the chat room automatically. But I don't *want* to see chat.
I did figure out how to make it go away, though.

Well, it's setup so that no one with 5 posts or less can see it. So if you post 3 more times, it should appear.

Scroll down on the index and see where it says, "The Trunk Line Click the -----> + sign to enter."? Across from there on the far right is a tiny gray "+". Click on that to open the window, then go to the bottom of the window and either type something in the submit box (that long rectangle) or hit the green Recycle button (the 2 arrows).

Ok, scroll down past all of the forum names, past a green bar that says "Private", then there's a green bar that says "Mark Forums Read" and "View Forum Leaders". It should be below there.
If you still can't see it, I'm afraid Jim will have to take a look. :/

Nope, After the Forums Read and Forum Leaders, is a white space and then a green bar that sasys What's Going On and below that is the members online list.
I'm using the skin with a light gray background and wide dark green bars. I couldn't figure out how to change skins, at any rate.

Could depend on your browser. With SeaMonkey I just got a blank grey area (along with a lot of other problems)
Firefox/Shiretoko/Epiphany are all OK with it.
Seriously? It doesn't work in Seamonkey, but it works fine in Shiretoko? That's sort of bizarre. One would expect them to render the same way.

Some times chat doesn't show up at all for me. And at other times I just get the loading screen for about ten min. Even though all I can see is the loading screen my test chats show for everyone else. Chat also lags real bad when I do get to see it.

If it helps at all, it is much easier to avoid now. In the UCP, you can select to not load chat and will never have to see it at all.

I know full chat resolved it for you before. I need some idea of what is wrong to try and fix it.
I'm seeing what I think is a sticky post at the bottom of chat, from WhatExit, about reporting problems 'in this thread.'
It's dated the fifth of this month. Is it supposed to be there all the time? Can I make it go away?
You know what your problem is? You're like one of those diseased fish at the pet store that has to be kept in its own separate little tank all by itself. The only problem is you're still with all the other fish.
It is indeed a sticky. Once you expand chat with the + sign, just scroll the chat window up a little and my post will be hidden.
We are really try to clean up bugs and need them reported to that thread, thus the sticky. It will be gone in a few more days.
Nope, it's always there. It's only mildly annoying, but if it'll be gone soon, I can live with it.
