Default Minor mysteries that distract you in films

So, in one of my favorite movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (well, there is no accounting for taste), there is a throw away line where Charlie's boss Mr. Chopek asks Charlie to pass his regards to Charlie's Grandpa Joe. Now, Grandpa Joe has allegedly been laid up in bed for the past 20 years, so how the hell does Mr. Chopek even know him? Even if he knew him from before, powerful indeed is the acquaintance that can survive 20 years of no contact. My pet theory has been that Grandpa Joe is a lousy fraud, not willing to get out of bed to get a job but certainly willing to sneak out on a Saturday night to go whoring with Mr. Chopek. (In fact, I have this whole idea about how Grandpa Joe is the Satanic figure in the movie, but I will save that for another time.)

Do tiny, inconsequential mysteries like this crop up in one of your favorite films? Have you been able to fanwank it away or are you still perplexed?
everything in nature is sort of gross when you look at it too closely. what is an apple? basically the uterus of a tree - terrifel

Isn't it obvious that Grandpa Joe IS a fraud? Seriously, it takes five minutes of wobbling around and suddenly he can go on a tour and drink fizzy lifting drink and fly and yeah. He's a big fat faker.

I'm bothered by little things like the Mystery of Mr. Chopek all the time, but I can't think of an example! Damn you for luring me away from the point by talking about Grandpa Joe!

The Cheez Whiz in the Blues Brothers.

It's such a stupid little throwaway joke. I know it is. But damnit, every time I see that movie I wonder if, perhaps, there's actually some kind of significance to it.
