Graham calms his breathing to a whisper and listens carefully for any movement or activity. To the extent possible given the layout, he moves along a wall, phaser sighted and ready, toward the life sign's apparent location. He gestures for T'Var to keep some distance behind him: his objective is to be within line of sight to the door or doorway beyond which the suspect is, without actually crossing the doorway yet--ideally, to be alongside it, while T'Var has line of sight on it from two to three meters away at an angle.
If he reaches a position where it seems sensible to address the suspect's location...
Graham's poised to shoot or move, but otherwise freezes. "Admiral Hardin, I presume," he says loudly and firmly--however, as he speaks he's pausing just a bit more than one otherwise would so he can listen carefully for any sound of movement or activity. "Ensgin Graham, Starfleet Security. You shot me earlier today."
"No hard feelings, although I confess I wouldn't mind returning the favor. But I hope that's not necessary: this building is surrounded. Step out with your hands visible and there's no need for anyone to get hurt."
