Suspensions and Banninations

This thread will be regularly updated by Mellophant staff whenever disciplinary action is taken against a user.

Suspensions refer to temporary chat bans and/or being restricted to posting only in the Cage. Users who are suspended are still able to send and receive PMs and have access to user functions on the site such as search. These will be used in cases of:

• Repeated low-level rules violations.
• First offense of a major rules violation if the user has an otherwise exemplary record.
• In general for "cool off" periods when there has been fighting.

Bans refer to actual site-bans. Users who have been banned are incapable of posting, sending or receiving PMs, or utilizing other user functions. These will typically be used in cases of obvious trolling, harassment, repeated major rules violations, spamming, or other cases where it is deemed too disruptive to give a user continued access to the site. Bans may be permanent or temporary.
