What is the back story here?

First we have this Hive post, and now I see this on the SDMB. What is the back story? I've seen a few references to a "notorious" doper named Stage Manager, but am wondering what the heck is going on...

He has claimed otherwise. Of course, that's just a claim, but he has since been banned at the Dope for said claim.

I'm not sure why you think this. As far as I can tell the MO is the same. SM made a total nuisance of himself after his banning at the Dope by popping up all over the place and moaning about how badly he'd been treated and being an all around attention whore. He's also burned one sock at the Dope before this (Feydeau). There was also the time he engaged in an edit war over at Wikipedia and kept trying to insert himself and his complaints about the board into the article about the SDMB.

Dude has serious issues. But, since even saying this much about him gives me the wiggins, not to mention feeds his desperate need to be talked about, I'm gonna bow out of this discussion.

She posted his full name, and I believe some information from his sex offender registry entry. I can't recall whether or not she linked to it, but I remember it was easy to find his entry from what she posted. This was illegal if she repeated the offense and not just his name and where he was recorded, unless she's a licensed private investigator, as you are not allowed to report information from the registries to third parties, even when the info is publically available.
