Indeed +1 kudos to both EH & choie -well done.
(And fortuitously for future hilarity and tragedy, done in such a way that Graham will be completely unable to get his head around.)
Thank you!! And oh gosh yes, I think the ramifications for Kylah/everyone are ripe for exploration if that's what people want, because Kylah's behavior will certainly change as a result of this, and I'd imagine others' opinions of her may change too. Obviously it's all definitely taking a backseat to the main mission once the inevitable shit hits the fan, but as one of the multiple side plots I think it will be 'fun' (as much as a fairly dark twist like this is 'fun') to explore, at least for a little while. And for me, it pushes Kylah into a different mindset that will make her even more interesting to play.
But as I said, it's the main plotline that's the raison d'etre of the game, and I look forward to seeing what EH has in store.

I was picturing Kylah seeing T'Var from afar and running into her safe motherly embrace
What Collins doesn't know* won't hurt her.
You gonna answer Kylah's question, sir?
* I am avoiding an easy joke. You're welcome, anyrose
Oh I know that he was referring to T'Var. It's the first time he finally let his little girl-on-girl fantasies out of his head and onto his tongue.
However, then he suddenly flounced away and ruined the awkward moment, dammit. Had to rewrite my own post. Damn you, Graham!![]()
I have mentally assigned this Stars tune (The Night Starts Here) as the soundtrack to Kylah's evening:
Oh dear. Not a bad choice. I'd probably go with Haunting Me by Evanescence:
I think I must have missed something somewhere. Did we lose WES?
I hope not, I just started a chess match![]()
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
I posted for her; I didn't want T'Var to seem silent/unfeeling to Kylah. I expect WES will be back soon.
Damn y'all must be the most super-sensitive characters in the world! Either that or Kylah has the world's worst poker face. One twisted strap and slightly red eyes and everyone knows she's been through some kind of trauma. And here I thought Kylah was the only empath! It's almost like they've been reading exactly what happened to her!![]()
No different than the coworker who comes in wearing the same outfit she wore the day before, or the friend coming out of your brother's apartment building with her hair mussed up.
and there she goes again, blaming Collins for her own insecurities. Collins words were no harsher than Kylah's, at least in Collins' mind. There will be blood tonight!![]()
Yeah, but all Kylah's messed-up hair and twisty strap indicate is that she was foolin' around (at least). Nothing necesssarily traumatic.
Heh. The less said about what goes on (or doesn't) in Collins's mind, the better! I'd say Collins's words were way more personal and stab-in-the-dark mean than Kylah's, which focused mostly on Collins's numerous and well-documented mistakes in command.and there she goes again, blaming Collins for her own insecurities. Collins words were no harsher than Kylah's, at least in Collins' mind. There will be blood tonight!![]()
But I'm grateful to Collins for being so nasty, because it helped set the stage for Kylah to need the ephemeral comfort of the spores, and that led to a great little subplot. So while Kylah wouldn't thank her, I do!
Oooooh! Collins and Kylah can be mommies together!
They would totally have playdates and go to "Mommy & Me" classes together.
And their kids would fall in love and get married someday!
"Your what?" Oh EH. You crack me up.
Jesus. Graham should just carry around a ruler.
I always giggle when I see debrief used in this context - such a wonderful double entendre.

Whoa, what happened? Why is the thread closed without an announcement? Did we do something wrong?
I have no idea; I'm as surprised as you are. Please reopen it, CIAS?
I had some trouble with my browser earlier - wonder if I closed it by accident. It's open again.

Whew! EH, I thought you'd had enough of our interparty bickering!
I've just cut my last post in half, just to fit in better with people's reactions, I hope.
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Hee. I should've said tape measure, I suppose.
So, Palver is the seasoned yet tired captain of the squad [Bernie Hamilton], and Graham is the troublemaker [Mel Gibson, Lethal Weapon I] who just transferred from Vice to Homicide and forgot to shave first or put on a proper suit.

More like Graham is the psycho (Harvey Keitel) whom no one wants to partner with who attacks the Lieutenant right after he meets him.
I think they had that scene between Gibson and Glover in the first movie
I like Graham's "I'm sorry if you were offended, from your perspective" non-apology. Did he take Collins's personality pills today or something?
So now I can't get Kylah in the shower until I know if she has her uniform--or she'll have to show up in the conference room in her nightgown. Guess I'll have to wait until EH gets back to find out!
And speaking of Collins, I hope she checks her gift bag to find the surprise bracelet.![]()
She will. Eventually. Right now, it's not even a blip on her radar.
Later that night, as Rangin gets ready for bed, Graham notices the former's scars and mumbles "Mine're bigger'n yours"

Heh. I like Rangin calling Graham out for calling himself a stupid jerk. "You're not stupid."
"I don't care what everybody else says about you, Graham! I think you're... more or less OK."
