Well the actor's bio says she is a "blue eyed beauty" so we're talking about some Anglo ancestry in there...maybe a descendant of a love child between the skipper and Vargas???

Uh oh, I can see this coming now: a large pile or rocks falls on Graham...

    See post 1596.

Singh and Vargas are colleagues and shipmates, nothing more, and unlikely to ever become lovers. But you never know....

Kylah's subconscious sees Singh and Roble as kanoodlers. In that nightmare she had, they're holding hands as the ship goes kablooey. Wanting to die with each other--what could be more proof of true love?

I didn't even catch this. Heh. I wish Kylah had rolled her eyes at that one.

Had Kylah rolled her eyes, and Collins seen it, there might have been a cat fight.

At a high-class place like this, surely the chairs in the lobby must be strewn with many large down-filled pillows...

    Oh general_urko. Never change.

BTW Kylah's recommendation for more group activities is -- in addition to my own genuine confusion over what the difference is between 'shifts' and 'the regular stuff we're supposed to do on this mission' -- due to the fact that pairing up inevitably means that one unlucky player ends up with Delaney. Which means the player is effectively, gamewise, alone.

Now, anyrose, I know you're a minx who wants to keep Kylah/Rangin apart lest the characters make goo-goo eyes at each other, but what about teams of three rather than two? This way at least Silent Bob Delaney is an adjunct to two active players, and besides, the triad dynamic is different from the pairings we've had consistently during the mission.

Of course for all I know EH may have the place may blow up and the plan will go kablooey too. But I'm just sayin'.

And finally, Rangin's continued internal snark makes me even more certain he and Kylah are destined for each other. If their own attraction and personalities aren't enough to make them a pair, they can always bond on their mutual disdain for Collins.

Teams of three means a 12-hour shift. You, rather Kylah, balked at the possibility of a ten hour shift. She'd have gone off the deep end, in defense of Rangin of course, had a 12 hour shift been suggested.

LOL. Possibly. But why can't they remain on an eight hour shift? What else have they got to do except eat and sleep? They're not there to recreate. It's also such a big resort, how are two people seriously gonna cover the whole thing unless they end up being Hardin's guards, and that means the rest of the resort isn't covered.

As I said it may all be academic. Anyhoo, you're the leader.

So, do you think the resort's sprinkler systems kick in when the lower garments of one of the visitors spontaneously combust? I ask merely for sake of information. The truthiness of Collins's last comments are certainly not in doubt.

For realsies! I'm dying to hear Graham's take on this too. I have no doubt T'Var will say something like, "I am sure the Lieutenant knows what is most logical." And Delaney will be: "... "

general_urko ninja'd me. I was going to post something along the lines of Collins calling the ship and handing the reigns over to T'Var as a "fine you win" to Rangin and Kylah

I'm glad you got ninja'ed then. What's the fun of her cutting and running? That doesn't sound like stubborn Collins! Unless there's more at work here re: your arc, and there's a reason Collins needs to be off the mission. If not, and it's just that her mind's not in it, it's obvious that Graham is someone she trusts and feels she can lean on--maybe she can just pretend to be testing him out by asking "I'm curious, what would you do?" kinda questions.

Collins grabs Kylah's arms from behind forcing her to drop the knife. Graham karate chops her on the base of Kylah's neck, causing her to fall to the ground. T'Var, Delaney, and Rangin kick the crap out of her.

That would actually be a shame and not what Rangin wants. What he wants is for Collins to prove she can lead the team, her behaviour not withstanding. Its just that every time an opportunity comes up, Collins doesn't seem up to it. YMMV

Aren't y'all going to a group dinner yourselves? I don't even remember what other restaurants are there, since the French place is out (due to money concerns) and presumably so is Giuseppe's. There was Other Worldly, the token alien place, and then there was.... what?

According to this, looks like OC3 Bistro is your best bet.

Applebees certainly has no decent prawn cocktail or Lancashire hot pot anywhere.

Just to clarify, in his latest remark, Rangin was commenting on the knife-brandishing incidents a) Fastolfe on Wilson, and b) Graham on Wilson? (Rangin's reaction to the latter as seen here.)

The inspiration for Graham's "tasty burger" as well as--admittedly to an at least slightly less homicidal and psychopathic degree--his exposition with the knife, or perhaps interrogating a suspect:

Yes, 30-blah-blah years on the force or whatevs. He's still an ensign and it wasn't his role. Collins is too beat-down and also too much in awe of the guy to say anything. But c'mon, Rangin or Delaney, you guys have the stones to say that! I bet T'Var does too.

(Speaking of Collins: like Rangin, I applaud her asking others for their feedback... at last.)

beat down, yes. In awe, maybe a little. But it's not awe, really, it's respect for experience. Don't forget, she Delaney, and T'Var all came aboard together. She's also been on two missions with them. Rangin isn't Terran. Who else is she going to look up to?

So. A specist and a sexist!

If it makes you happier, I'd say Kylah's got mommy and daddy issues, especially considering she doesn't know her birth parents, she was a big disappointment to her adoptive parents, and her surrogate father wanted to bone her.
