Doctors explained to me that I have to be careful re: vaccines, coz I'm epileptic and some vaccines (used to?Well, why aren't YOU vaccinated, hmm? Probably a moot point now) react badly with epilepsy. Turns out, the tetanus shot I had 2 months ago for my cut hand probably contained the diptheria/pertussis antibody things anyway.
I've never heard of epilepsy being a contraindication to vaccine, and I can't find anything like that on the CDC website. Apparently they used to think that the pertussis vax could cause epilepsy but that seems to be incorrect. The only thing I've heard is that the MMR vax can raise temps enough to cause a febrile seizure.
