There's G'Dope, which is a board for Australian and New Zealand dopers. I used to check it out every now and then, but it's far too slow-moving for my tastes.
I think G'Dope has been absorbed by Nadsters but i could be incorrect.
Is Skip's Magic Board still in existence?
ETA: and there was that wee little board they set up during the Winter of our Missed Content. That's where Smashie came from.

G'Dope seems to be its own board. From what I could gather from this thread, it was absorbed into NADS for a while, but it has since resplit. I didn't know any of this, which just goes to show how long it's been since I've visited.Originally posted by An Gadaí

It's funny how quiet that chicago one is, considering a shitload of dopers are from that part of the world. Maybe Chitown ain't that interesting or there are more lively alternatives.

D'oh! I just assumed it would have been included in the OP. It's Opalcat's board. I think either that or Unaboard was the first SDMB spinoff.
There's one part of the SDMB universe that even I forget exists: alt.fan.cecil-adams on Usenet. Really, it's more like an alternate universe than part of the SDMB onmiverse. a.f.c-a is like a combination of GQ and IMHO, only there's almost no crossover between a.f.c-a posters and those on the message boards. The SDMB personalities and drama don't effect it. The catchphrases Dopers know are unknown there. Snark about a.f.c-a is non-existent. No boasting of IQs, penis sizes or children that read Don Quixote in the original Spanish when they were three years old. It all seems to work with no moderation and no rules, but it does get a good bit of spam. It's just ... weird.
