Default Top Actor Polls: Post Studio

This was not easy to narrow down a list. I used my knowledge of movies and several Internet sources. The lines between Old Hollywood, Post Studio and Current are not sharp but I managed to get 23 actors for each list. In the end I will take the top 8 for each category for a second thread to determine the top10. I am sure I left some off and I included some I would never vote for, but I think this is a fair list. Please have fun with it and promote your choices and why or argue with others.

So vote for your top 10 and the top 8 will move on.

(There will also be one wildcard to give us a full 25 for the final round)

Wow, this one looks like it's going to be a lot closer than the other ones.

You left off one of the best American actors working today (and a personal favorite of mine ;_; ), Alan Arkin. It would be nice to see Klaus Kinski as well. Other than that, another fantastic list and more tough choices. It kills me that the competition is so hard that I cannot in good conscience vote for my beloved Christopher Lee.

PS Peter O'Toole is the best you guys, and if you don't agree you must have a brain disease.

Alan Arkin would have been a great choice.

    No De Niro or Pacino?

If you want to bump the polls to a number higher than 25, you can add Arkin as a late entry.

Oh, Steve McQueen. You may not be the best actor on the list, but I once has an awesome dream where you and I fought Communist zombies in a library ...
