    Default Tonedeaf test

Here is a little pitch perception test. I have no idea how meaningful the test is but it seems at least somewhat reputable.

    http://jakemandell.com/tonedeaf/

    My score:

55.6% correct "possible pitch percetion or memory deficit" (4th percentile)

That sounds great, doesn't it? I have taken the test once before years ago and I remember that I was in the 5th percentile. I don't know if I would do much better if retried more often.

    What about you?

    86.1%. fuck.

If they displayed a percentile, I missed it. I was too preoccupied over my low score, I guess.

I think you had to click an arrow button at the end to see the rest of the results (percentile with graph and then solutions.)

    61.1% correct, "low normal performance."

Considering I've never had a music lesson in my life and I have an auditory processing disorder, I'm astounded I did that well. I really thought I'd do much worse.

Exy, the beginning of the test said it was rare for professional musicians to score above 80%.

    58.3%

Uh apparently my score is in some no man's land as the test doesn't give a description for this score, just scores under 55% and above 60%.

Oh, I see I didn't read that correctly, but I am still close.

I retook the test and got 47.x . I should just stop trying.

I got 83 but i think i had some luck. The last time I took it i got like 50%.
I don't think so, therefore I'm probably not.

77.8% 'normal' performance, in the 57th percentile.

    63.9%. That's embarrassing.

72.2. I think I'd have fared better if it wasn't all synth stuff, but that's still a cool test.

83.3% (79th percentile) I think I may have got the first one wrong because I didn't know there was a pause before the repeat.
