We just had an assignment in photography to take nude photos (with an alternate assignment choice). I found it interesting that two of my classmates were really nervous on behalf of their models (who were their spouses. I don't know if that makes a difference). My teacher asked the guys who would pose nude and very few responded, but didn't bother to ask the ladies.

So, would you? And add in your age and location. Assume, art photography, not explicit, with the photographer leaving out anything you wish (faces, breasts, personal bits, etc.).

A lot of the models people used wanted their faces left out. My pictures were just of body parts (my feet, my hips, my legs). I've done life drawing, and some of the models weren't 'perfect' - over 40, wrinkly, saggy. It's just flesh to me, and the less perfect models can be more interesting to draw or photograph.

It has been exposed on the net and at various french lgbt festivals.
I figured pretty much all folks would be slim and/or toned so I voluntereed to show my flabby, a bit chubby, self.

Anyone who answers "Yes," and would be willing to put themselves to the trouble of matching words to deeds, I am actually painting a series of nude studies in oils (on inappropriate pieces of clothing, if you care) which I'd be glad to show you samples of if you're interested in seeing what my finished work looks like, and would happily engage some new models.

These haven't (so far) included my models' faces, so this is kinda safe for those concerned about too much exposure. They're basically nude torsos (front view or rear view) that extend very little up or down (a few partial legs, some bits of hand or arm, but basically the range is from ribcage to mid-thigh, usually less.) If you're serious, PM me and I'll let you know more. If you're serious and a bit of an exhibitionist, post in this thread and I'll answer you here.

ETA: Oh, and I'm particularly interested in imperfect bodies, which means NO SUPERMODELS, PLEASE. If you've got a little flab, or sag, or scars, or moles or whatever, you are welcome to pose. I voted no, but I have taken "artistic" nude photos of myself for my husband's pleasure. The only copies are a hard-copy "book" that I printed and made nice for him, and one copy on CD, hidden by me, in a place no one else knows about, including him. It was a Christmas present. No one but he and I have ever seen them, and that's the way it will stay.

I spent a semester in college working as a nude model for a couple of art classes. It paid better than other jobs, there was no nasty polyester uniform to wear, and if the pose was long enough, I could nap. Plus, the students liked me because I was also an art student and knew what poses to hold.

For art, and I'm pretty liberal on what I'm willing to consider art, sure, without hesitation. I'm a 26 year old man from the northeastern US. I'd prefer my face at least be positioned in a way that it's not readily identifiable (or, if we're talking about drawings or paintings, not too realistically rendered), but that would be my only request. In fact, I would not only agree to do it, but I have done it, first in the SDMB thread (inserting myself into male nude classical art), and after having such a fun time with that, I started a blog along the same lines and did it a few dozen more times. I'll link to it if there's any interest.

As for unabashed pornography, that's a very-firm-(yes-ha-ha)-but-not-absolutely-set-in-stone no.

Is everyone here aware of the Human Variation Project? The owner seems to have abandoned it, but it was very interesting while it was operational. It was a blog that invited ordinary un-model-like people to submit nude photos of themselves.
