Sneakers unless I'm at work, or it's warm enough to go barefoot. Boots not all that often, and sandals hardly ever.
Dark City, Blade Runner or Limitless?
Sneakers unless I'm at work, or it's warm enough to go barefoot. Boots not all that often, and sandals hardly ever.
Dark City, Blade Runner or Limitless?
Blade Runner, still a classic
Glasses, contact lenses or LASIK?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Having experienced all three, LASIK. Nothing short of miraculous.
TV: cable, satellite, or streaming on the 'puter?
"You laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at you because I'm on nitrous."
find me at Goodreads
Satellite.
Mercury, Gemini or Apollo?
Apollo. The whole history of the manned space flight program is fascinating, but setting foot on the moon is arguably the coolest thing the human race has ever accomplished.
Romney, Perry, or Bachmann?
"You laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at you because I'm on nitrous."
find me at Goodreads
Since I'm a big Obama supporter, I hope the GOP nominee will be Bachmann, because of the three I think she'd lose by far the worst. If I had to vote for one of them myself on their merits, though, I would - very reluctantly - go for Romney.
Federalist, Democratic-Republican or Whig?
Anti-slavery, laughably disorganized, awesome name? Yes please! Give me Whiggery or give me death.
PIE: apple, cherry, or pumpkin?
"You laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at you because I'm on nitrous."

Pumpkin with a little whipped cream, please, although my wife makes a damn fine apple pie.
Bentley, Rolls or Cadillac?
Rolls Royce, for the style

So tough. Can't I please have a long dirty weekend away? No? Okay ... long weekend.
Lolcatz, youtube, or thestranger online?
Last edited by Hatshepsut; 22 Sep 2011 at 04:57 AM.
Brunette, definitely: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_deHyWgFUXnM/Sk...+%28889%29.jpg
Ocean, river or lake?
Ocean, just to stand on the beach and look out....
Just for Hatshepsut: Get out of my mind, go and enjoy a long dirty weekend away and I'll take the lolcatz.
Jack, John or Jim?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
I like 'em all, actually, but I'll go with John, the name of one of my three sons.
Margaret, Meg or Peg?
Meg.
Mary, Molly, or Polly?
Molly. Just sounds more fun.
Music from the Fifties, Sixties or Seventies?
Seventies, I guess. Hard to choose, but there's more hard rock in the seventies.
Music from the 80's, 90's, or the oughts?
Eighties, but more for nostalgia than because it's "good music."
Scissors, stapler or tape dispenser?
Scissors ... for running with.
Mowing the lawn, weeding the flowerbed or trimming the hedges?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Mowing the lawn, although I don't mind the other chores too much.
Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, She-Devil or Kramer vs. Kramer?
Kramer vs. Kramer.
Keira Knightley in Atonement, Pride & Prejudice, or The Duchess?
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.
Atonement I guess; the more olde-tymey costumes don't really suit her.
Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Closer, or Sherlock Holmes?
Hey, I thought I got to ask all the Keira Knightley questions around here! (I'd answer P&P, for what it's worth).
I've only seen Sherlock Holmes of those three Jude Law movies, so I'll say that (although he was very good in A.I., too, I thought).
Graphic novels: The Arrival, Watchmen or V for Vendetta?
Watchmen, though I will admit I haven't read The Arrival.
Watership Down, When the Wind Blows or The Snowman
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Haven't read any of them, but I've heard good things about Watership Down, so I'll go with that.
Dogs, cats or mice?
Depends on what kind of shirt, but I do like striped shirts generally.
(No, I've seen none of those films either).
Kilt, sari or muumuu?
Last edited by Elendil's Heir; 07 Oct 2011 at 08:48 PM.
Saris look interesting to try.
Beret, fedora, or bowler?
I have an Indiana Jones-style fedora I like to wear now and then, so I'll say that.
Kimono, pants or skorts?
Kimono - always wanted to try one on.
Raven, Crow or Magpie?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Magpies are the prettiest.
Cardinal, blue jay, or robin?
Cardinals - our state bird, and very attractive!
Washington, Adams or Jefferson?
Washington. The more I learn about him, the more impressive I find him.
India, Pakistan or Bangladesh?
Bangladesh - out of monsoon season though.
The Clash, The Jam or the Sex Pistols?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Gotta be The Clash.
Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, or Stone Temple Pilots?
Elizabeth 1 - One of the best British Monarchs ever.
Napoleon, Nelson or Wellington?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Nelson. A classier guy than the other two, and died at the pinnacle of his fame and achievement, leaving behind a smokin' hot mistress (http://historical-fiction.com/wp-con...0/12/emma1.jpg). It's hard to top that.
Emma Hamilton, Cleopatra or Evelyn Nesbit?
I'll go for Emma Hamilton. What's good enough for Nelson, is fine by me.
Blackadder II, Blackadder the Third or Blackadder goes Forth?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Only seen bits and pieces of Blackadder over the years, so I'll say... II. Did I choose well?
WWII fiction: The Eagle Has Landed, Enemy at the Gates or Eye of the Needle?
All the Blackadders are brilliant.
Eye of the Needle - made a great film
Dilbert, Wally or Alice?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Wally. Oh, Zog, how I love Wally! Wally Wally Wally, balding slacker genius with bad hair and a permanently-attached mug of coffee. Oh, Wally, you almost always make me laugh, and for that, you have my gratitude.
Kirk, Spock or McCoy?
McCoy - deadpan snarkers FTW and he added the heart to that threesome.
Jak, Sly Racoon or Ratchet?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Dunno any of those! But "Sly Raccoon" is an intriguing name, so I'll go with that.
Lion, leopard or cheetah?
Last edited by Elendil's Heir; 22 Oct 2011 at 07:55 PM.
Lion: King of the Animals.
Oak, Maple or Redwood?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Oak - solid, timeless and stalwart. I even named a favorite character "Oakes" once.
Beatles, Stones or Who?
The Stones, although all three are excellent.
Line Dancing, Jive Dancing or Ballroom Dancing?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
Ballroom dancing by a nose.
Ice cream, sorbet or popsicle?
Ice cream, the other two are but poor substitutes.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas?
Christmas, definitely Christmas. But I like the other holidays plenty, too.
Apple cider, hot cocoa or eggnog?
