Without photo evidence I will suggest the really young crooner Frank Sinatra was funny looking. Still could be seen as such in his early films. As he matured, I would guess his 30s, he got better looking.
Michelle Pfiefer got better looking into her 30s and even 40s then her early 20s. In Scarface she looked not so great, by The Fabulous Baker Boys she was incredible looking. Really even by Lady Hawke I would say.

Clooney's a good one, I always think that whenever I see a younger photo of him.
