Default An OP writing challenge! Write an OP that will guarantee a trainwreck.

It can be for any kind of board. Write the trainwreck OP, and tell us what kind of board you'd post it on to start some fun.

(Not that any of us would ever do such a thing for real, of course. Let your inner troll out here!)

I shall go to MDC and post a thread about the benefits of food irradiation, and why I'm so annoyed with all the NIMBY types who keep trying to get it out of my supermarkets!

I will also reference things like the BYU radiation exposure study.

I'd go on the Giraffeboards and write about how the discussions are so much smarter on Mello, and why don't they just close down and come over here.

Dear Members of <<Anti-vaccination message board>>:

You are all baby-murdering idiots who should be forcibily sterilized. Whatever children you already have should be adopted out into families where the parents have a basic comprehension of high school biology and functioniong cerebral cortices.

I'm going to the BMW Blog and talk about why V6 engines are superior to inline 6-cylinder engines.

I'm going to go to a lesbian entertainment blog and tell them that Katy Perry is probably more likely to come out that Kristen Stewart.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.

How about going to a Contemporary Christian Music blog (I'm sure there must be such things, somewhere.), and asking how they feel about Katy Perry's upcoming nuptials?

Loki, you should really go to a Contemporary Christian Music blog (Yes, they exist), and express outrage that Jennifer Knapp's latest CD was actually filed in general Pop/Rock. That'll get them going.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.

I'd go to a homebirth community and talk about my transcendent, spiritual experience during my cesarean, which I found far superior to the natural birth I'd had with my first child.

Stay at Home Daughters community, tell them how God lead me to the far side of the country from both my parents (and step-parents) when I was twenty-one.

Actually, at this point, I'm starting to get boggled by some of the special interest communities out there on the 'net. I mean they're not normal, or obvious, like anime fandom. They're weird.

My secret heart is full of evil and spite.

I shall go to a Joss Whedon fansite and expound on how excited I am that there's going to be a new, fresh take on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, without all the excessive, goofy angst that bogged the show down.

If it makes you feel better, Loki, I could suggest going to a Harry/Hermione 'shipper community and explaining how "Boys only tease the girls they like" shows that Rowling was telegraphing Ron/Hermione from the beginning.

Or, I could go to a Glee board and post "I Bartie" and watch the Britana 'shippers go apeshit.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.

I wonder how tvtropes would react to someone who went there to claim that Stephanie Meier is the bestest author ever, and she invented all the tropes they're claiming she borrowed from other places?

You wanna talk special interests, Loki?

I could go to an anti-essentialist gender studies blog and share a study on the mate selection choices of heterosexual women and how they follow a global pattern based on levels of violent crime in the region.

Gnashing of teeth and rage, I tell you.

Go to a Whedon board and tell them that Buffy's aversion to being with a man who couldn't kick her ass negates any potential she had to be a feminist icon.

    OMG!

It's a movement among the "quiverfull" types for daughters to not educate themselves, not make decisions for themselves, and keep themselves submissive to their fathers until a husband is chosen for them. And then they can submit to the husband, instead.

    Wait. . .what?

It takes all my effort NOT to cause a trainwreck with every OP I start. I have to write the OP down and think of all the ways people might interpret it differently than I meant.

I think it might be better if I pass on the game.

I can't tell if that's a deliberate troll or if that woman is truly so stupid she has never heard of a heroic arc before. Doing what you don't want to do, yet feel you must, and making brutal sacrifices for the greater good = hero. Doing something that you want to do, for your own selfish gain, and getting everything you ever wanted = Ayn Rand.

US tax law should be amended so that families with SAHM are not allowed to claim their children as dependents. Because, you know, if they needed the money, the mother would be working too, and since they can afford for her not to work, why should my tax dollars support her laziness?

Defend with the moral certainty of Dio and the insanity of ZPGZealot, and a trainwreck should start firming up within a few posts, easy.
