    I make killer snickerdoodles and oatmeal cookies, but I don't have the recipes with me at the moment.

    The secret to good oatmeal cookies: cinnamon. Lots of cinnamon. And no raisins.

    You know, I've made a ginger custard tart topped with caramelized pears a couple Thanksgivings in a row and it's gone over well.

    Although I think I'm going to do something new next year.

    Chocolate chip cookies with plenty of lard and butter. No, seriously, add a little extra to every batch. My mother did this and people used to beg her to make them cookies versus give them gifts at christmas. She'd tell them her secret and no one would believe them.

    Also. A Hershey's bar. A jar of peanut butter. Combine them sans wrappers. Enjoy!
