    Default Who knows you best?

For me it's probably a tie between my best friend from college, my baby sister, and my former therapist.

Currently Sis is slightly ahead. I lent one of our nieces my debit card earlier so she could do some shopping for a family dinner, and when my niece asked for the PIN, my sister told her it was probably one of 4 sequences: the first four digits of Avogadro's number, pi, Planck's constant, or e. She was right. I've never told her how I choose my PINs; she just knows that's what I think is easy to remember.

But I don't doubt my college friend could have made the same deduction. She can also predict, almost infallibly, what I will order if we are visiting a restaurant new to both of us, or what movie I'll choose to see, or whether I'll like a given author.

(Athena help me if the two of them decide to join forces and whack me. I'd never escape.)

Of course, my therapist knows things about me that neither of them do, as I do not discuss sex with my little sister.

I chose my husband, but I think either one of my sisters would be a very close second.

I'm not big on opening up to anyone. So, a lot of things are compartmentalized.

Damn you for being emotionally healthy enough not to need thousands of hours of therapy, not to mention having a stable marriage. I HATE people like that. :Shake:

This is me too mostly, but I picked my mother overall for the choices listed. I think it might be an only child thing. (I have half siblings, but my mother only raised me.)

If "other" had been a choice, I would have picked my nephew. He and I are about the same age, and he's like a brother to me.

I mean to include an other option but forgot to. I blame the Welsh.

I voted for my sister. A couple of my friends are pretty close, but the sis has known me for so long, it would be hard to hide things from her even if I wanted to.

(And what do you have against the Welsh? They invented King Arthur!)

I chose three options, because there was no way to narrow it down beyond that. Each of them knows me best in their own way, if that makes any sense. Like OtakuLoki and Taumpy, a lot of my life is compartmentalized. I share different things with different people. In a way, my mother could never know me like my brother knows me, and my brother could never know me like my best friend knows me, but in the ways that each knows me they know me the best.

My fiancee knows me better sometimes than I even know myself. But if it weren't for her, I'd pick nothing. Sometimes I don't even seem to know myself that well.

Well, it's above saying Santa Claus knows you best.

I chose my youngest brother, but I imagine (and hope!) my fiancee will have passed him up if you ask me this same question in a couple of years.

How come "My Dog" wasn't a choice? I 'll write in "My Dog".

I've been thinking about this all week, and I love my best friend very much, but we don't agree in many areas - there are certain topics I don't bring up just to keep the peace. We can party together and cry together and hang out shooting the bull, but I bite my tongue sometimes so that our time together stays peaceful.

You guys know me the best I think, since I tell you everything (as evidenced by my post count). I don't have to hold back - I can rant and rave in one post and crack a joke in the next.

It might sound sad to someone who doesn't know me, but it's not. (stfu you nonnies in the background)
