Default Valuev vs Haye - WBA heavyweight title fight

This Saturday, Valuev defends his title against Haye in Germany.

Seeing as he is giving up several stone in weight and inches in height, does Haye stand a chance against the "Beast from the East"?

Crap, I can see the arena right from my window at work. Can't watch it live though, as I'm going to Ireland on Saturday morning.

My bet would be on Valuev.

The bigger they are 'n that.

Haye packs a punch with both hands and I'll be surprised if Valuev has met a more mobile heavyweight. Obviously, a man of Valuev's size has got a slugger's chance, but I think Haye will box his ears off and then when he is frustrated and wilting, finish him off. No later than round 6.

Ok, no poker for me tonight.

    Who will watch the fight?

I'd like to, but unless I can find somewhere showing it for free online, I'll be listening on the radio.

Not quite as good, I know!

Ah, that's bad. Boxing isn't as big here as it was some years ago because there is no really popular German boxer. OTOH many of the Eastern Europeans fight for German promoters. That means that we get a fair amount of boxing on public TV these days.

There is a German-language stream, but I guess that doesn't help much.

Just over half-way through and Haye looks sounds to have the fight well under control.

Let's see if he is going to go all out for a K.O. and try and achieve what nobody else has.

Yes, Valuev has his usual problem. He is safe - he could go on like this for thirty rounds - but he rarely achieves anything countable.

From what you've seen so far, can you see any reason why the judges might let Valuev keep his belt?

Ok, I take that back: Three Spanish judges would do the trick.

116 - 112 on the other hand sounds about right.
