If two attractive people of either sex are kissing and share on-screen chemistry, it's hot to me. I find the interaction and passion of the characters far more interesting than what the actors have in their pants. Straight, gay, lesbian, or some mix of gender roles? Doesn't matter. It just needs to be done well.

I voted blah to both options, but I should add the qualifier that it really depends on the context. Watching kissing or even sex is only hot for me in the context of a story. Purely random setups without context don't do it for me, but if I know what is going on in the characters' heads or what has led to them this pass, I can get into it.

A lot of it is going to depend on how much I appreciate the characters. If I don't like the characters, or don't care about their relationship, why would I care if they're kissing, no matter what their gender might be? I'm less likely to get emotionally involved with a pair of male characters, than the other pairings I can think of, but even there some scenes have been hot for me.

I voted twice on the Girl-Girl as occasionally it is hot but mostly blah. I did not vote on Boy-Boy as I failed to realize I should vote there too. I will be honest and say I find it repulsive.

I'm a straight dude and I fall in the, I'd suppose, majority thinking that two dudes kissing does nothing for me, but two hot chicks pretending to be lesbians is kind of hot. Boring after a minute, but still kind of hot.

I'm male, predominantly straight, and male-on-male kissing ranges from boring to uncomfortable. This is in comparison to female-on-female, which ranges from boring to boring, and male-on-female, which also ranges from boring to boring. I just don't really care to watch other people kiss. Count me in with those who say that the context is important. I'm more likely to be titillated by two women or a man and woman, as long as I find them attractive and they kiss well. In general, I'm not so much into two guys kissing, though the right story behind it makes me go "Awww...."

Zuul summed up my point of view exactly. It's all about the chemistry between the characters, whether it's real, convincingly acted, and/or the result of a good script that has built sexual tension.

I suspect that presented with two equally charged kisses, one between an opposite sex couple and one between two people of the same sex, I would probably find the latter hotter, just because it is further outside the realm of my own experience (as a boringly straight middle-aged female) and therefore more interesting.

Straight male. I ranged from GtG hot-> meh, as well as MtM repulsive->meh. I'm bolding the uncomfortable to go along with my meh because this poll asked for "on screen" kissing specifically, and I've seen a number of comdey flicks where male-male kissing is a vehicle for uncomfortable humor with hilarious results.

Girls kissing girls doesn't usually do much for me in the visual kiss. Guys kissing, as long as they're reasonable to look at? Oh hell yes. It's fine in the porno sense, but if there's a good story and I'm all emotionally invested and whatnot, that's even better.

Of course my preferred kissing scenario is still me-kissing-whoever.
