I watch two to three episodes a week.
Once a month I have a late-night obligation that ruins my sleep cycle, and I tend not to watch that week.
I enjoy the show immensely. I am also very glad that Obama hasn't gotten a free pass from scrutiny.

Last night in particular he had a piece on the Al Franken Bill for the Government to not do business with companies that had contract clauses to prevent employees from suing over rape by other employees. 30 Republicans voted against this somehow despite it being a pretty simple slam dunk.
This all arose from the 19 year old girl working in Iraq that was gang raped and then locked in a container for an extended period. She was blocked from suing for damages by small print in her contract.
Many of these Republican Senators that voted against the bill on the basis that the Government should not interfere in the private practices of companies, (yes even those sucking at the government teat). Of course many of these same Senators are the ones that were beating their chests about the Acorn scandal and voting that no more government money went to such a beastly organization.
Hypocritical much? Yes!
Basically voting Pro-Rapist? Well it can easily be seen that way.
Why is it Jon Stewart and not the cable news networks that expose stories like this?
Thanks for alerting me to this, I've been pretty livid ever since I first heard the story, and I'm gonna watch this episode on Hulu when I get home from work.
I usually watch the show on the Comedy Central website the next day. Yeah; they do concise, to-the-point, and funny takes on stuff that I don't hear about on CNN.
Come to think of it -- never mind whether or not they have a government contract, it shouldn't be legal for a company to even have a provision like that in its employment contracts. People shouldn't have to sign away their right to sue in order to get a job.

I used to watch it pretty regularly, but then I just sort of drifted away from the TV and it was pointless to keep paying for cable, so stopped and, thus, it dropped off my radar.
Well, I watched Wednesday's, and Barbara Ehrenreich was, of course, awesome. The next night when they looked at Michael Steele's blog (entitled "What Up?") was a fucking lolocaust.
Yes! And until Jon Stewart said it, I could never put my finger on who Michael Steels reminded me of!
I love Barbara Ehrenreich, especially after Jon made some sappy remark and asked her if she didn't feel the world would be better off just lookin' on the bright side etc and she paused and said, "Well, no."
His look of surprise (she topped him there) was classic. And he enjoyed it.
But Colbert was fantastic last night with his bit about The Market. What a clip.
Barbara Ehrenreich is awesome, readers of Harpers will already know her but for those who don't, she wrote this awesome essay on breast cancer culture that was published in Harpers and I think is still available online if you do some googling.
She also wrote Nickeled and Dimed, a great book about the working poor in America.
