Since I should be working right now, I thought I may as well try to get in on this nickle action.

Oh yeah, I've got 10 pesos & one of those souvenir penny's that you crank through the machine from Kennedy Space Center. Does that sweeten the deal for anyone?

    Yogurt is good.

Pesos and squished pennies don't do much for me. I have a lot of pesos already in our safe (my mom lives in Mexico, so I have to be prepared to rush off there with money for a taxi, since the diddly-squat airport in Guadalajara doesn't have a money changer). My son has a collection of flattened pennies.

This may be the first time in my life I've typed out "diddly-squat." It's kind of a cute term.

I was finally able to finish my unemployment claim today! Damn site has been screwy for the last week. If I get my sweet gubmint cash money millions, I can do 500 posts a day no problem.

Bummer about the sneezing OtakuLoki, I'm just getting over an allergy induced throat infection, so I feel for you.

I just figured out, if I added up all the words from all my posts on messageboards over the past five years I could have a thesis.

What are you doing crazy family outside my window? It's 1am - so why are there loud, drawn out conversations, needlessly loud car door slamming, and the gurgles and cries of a baby? If this were a one-off event I wouldn't think twice, but this is becoming a tradition

    What the hell, people?

I hear you on that, AllWalker, my next door neighbors have a party on their front porch every Saturday night (except during winter). If I actually made any attempt to go to bed early on Saturdays, that would probably be upsetting.

Damn noisy people. The worst ones are the ones that make your shelves reverberate with their bass but get pissed if you so much as cough.

I'm waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for my hair to grow. I'm just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite or waiting around for Friday night or waiting, perhaps, for my Uncle Jake or a pot to boil, or a Better Break or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants or a wig with curls, or Another Chance. I'm just waiting.

    With apologies to Dr. Suess.

    All hail the mighty Dawkins.

I was a fan of Gould, too, though I know they had quite a feud going.

I had an idea for a fast food franchise that would be perfect for malls, right next to the Orange Julius and Cinnabon. It would be called "Pasta La Vista" and would be sort of like Subway, except pasta-based instead of sandwich-based. You'd ask for a pasta type (corkscrews, angel hair, elbows, etc), a sauce (basil, tomato, hearty beef, red pepper...), mix-ins (broccoli chunks, peas, anchovies, capers, sauteed onions and so forth) and cheese topping.

Or has someone done this already?
