Default The Thread of Colossal Hubris

Welcome, one and all, to Mellophant: the new online community born phoenix-like from the still-smoldering ashes of several lesser message boards. Though certainty is rare in most of life's enterprises, it seems fairly obvious that Mellophant is destined to be the greatest thing ever. In any event, we may all rest assured of one thing here, at the very least: NOTHING CAN GO WRONG.

The site administrators have forseen every problem that could possibly occur. As a result, Mellophant is guaranteed to deliver a literally flawless exemplar of site design and performance, reliable and trouble-free in every respect; "unsinkable," if you will. We may confidently predict that membership will continue to increase exponentially for the forseeable future, and soon we will all be rich and famous beyond our wildest dreams. Mathematically, this is inevitable. There is good reason to predict that the Mellophant community will outlast the internet and perhaps even the human species itself.

Can even the gods stop Mellophant? It seems unlikely. All previous philosophical notions of deity must needs wither and die before the candent radiance that is Mellophant's glorious future. We joyously spit on the head of Fate without any fear of reprisal, for we are indestructible. Mellophant has arrived; from now on, things will only get better.

I couldn't agree more with the OP, and as I am a very nearly flawless human being, it's only right that I post here. None of the jokes I make as a poster ever fall flat or are misunderstood; my cleverness produces universal guffaws and merriment.

In real life, I am similarly pleasing to those around me. I have yet to make even a minor a parenting mistake, which is why my son is as perfect as I am and he worships the ground I walk on. So well do I balance my responsibilities to contribute to the household income; maintain our house as a warm and beautiful refuge from the stress of daily life; and stay energetic, fit and imaginative enough to remain a desirable sex partner that my husband - that paragon of manliness and charm - is madly in love with me. I'm also capable of punctuating complex sentences.

It would be "colossal hubris" only if it were not all so true.

My second cousin twice removed got on Mellophant and it cured his erectile dysfunction.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.

I am very happy you both made it over. Please keep checking back. We will be improving fast and trying to get the posting jump started.

In fact start some threads, debates, RO, whatever ... we need content to get people to stick around.
