    Default I Love Domebo

After just a couple of days, I have come to LURVE this forum!

    I like the "subsilver" setting.
I love the green and red on/off-line buttons.
I love the smilies - especially the nerds.
    I love the icons.
    I love the conversations here.
I love the whole domebo vibe, baby. (finger snaps)

I visited Giraffe's board, and I really didn't feel the urge to post.

    Dome-bo is my Home-bo.

In addition to the other things mentioned:
I love 'The Hive' and associated commitment to open-ness
I love the moderator elections and votes for forum names etc
    I love the Dark Room
I didn't make the world this way, it was like this when I got here

I love avatars. I didn't know how much until I got to have some. I love seeing what other people choose as a graphic representation of themselves.

I love being able to see the list of members, and I love the handy-dandy alphabetical search box there.

I love having a choice of skins, each distinctive.

I love the setup of the composition page in subsilver (my skin preference -- just can't get used to names etc., being on the right) because it's so intuitively easy to use. Especially color -- what a brilliant idea for how to apply that feature!

I was taken aback at first by the "This thread's been updated since you started composing -- wanna reconsider?" feature but now I dig it.

I love having the moderator forum open to viewing, if only so we can understand just how mind-numbingly tedious and mundane so much of their duties are -- really appreciate your efforts, guys!

I love having a forum dedicated to pictures, and intend to bore you all silly with my contributions, just as soon as I can get stuff resized to meet the limits but not so small they're useless.

    I simply love this board.

I'm too sick and tired to come up with new reasons why I love it. I just do.

I love it too! It's great to be in on the ground floor of something terrific. Something we, as a community, are building together.

I feel the love here too.

I'm hoping we can keep working together and make this place good and get as many years out of it (and many more) as we got out of the Dope.

It was the community that kept me at the Dope, and now that the community's moving I'm happy to leave it behind.

It's hard to quantify. It isn't just the technical features, though we owe kudos, chocolates and fine brandy to those responsible. Seems to be the excitement of starting something new and contribute to the form and style.

Contributing to the content in a manner we can all enjoy and respect is why we're here. Why this feels really good.

In celebration of our new home world, I dedicate this song to those who have dug their battered spades into the ripe, fertile, fecund, loamy earth and struck gold.

Sung to the tune of http://www.stinalisa.com/Lion.html

At the new board, the happy new board, DoMeBo brings delight.
With the new look, a pleasing fine look, DoMeBo shines the light.

DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day

The forlorn posters, the displaced posters, have found a home tonight.
With DoMeBo articulate contributors may cogitate in a relaxed and unfettered manner um.....devoid of spite.

DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day

It takes a village to raise a poster, who writes and writes and writes.
Our new village will nurture in a cohesive and non-co-dependent manner the posters who like to write.

DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day
DoMeBo day DoMeBo day DoMeBo day

I don't think thanking Crispy daily expresses enough gratitude for all he's done to make this place a fun place to play (I accidentally typed "pay" at first - Freud, you bitch! ). Not to mention Q.E.D. who's been working away since Day One, too.

Agreed. I'm not much of a connoisseur of the hard stuff, but at the first Soirée DoMeBo we hold, shots of the fine stuff are on me ! And on featherlou !!

...I love the "Black Pearl" theme--it's like Hallowe'en all year 'round! (I love Hallowe'en. And the apostrophe between the two E's as I was taught to spell it.) I even like my avatar, because it looks shockingly like me.

Oh, I like you all, too.

I gotta say I prefer 'Thunderdome' over 'the Clink'. Very clever. Kudos, even. Capital. Brilliant, I dare say.

The very bestest board feature, to me, is the thing where it intercepts your post and informs you that other stuff has been posted while you were writing, and then shows it to you in case it might affect what you said.

    That is extremely cool.

Although it does raise a nightmare scenario: I imagine a hot topic that you to try to post on, you get asked if you want to read other posts that have come in since you started writing yours, you type in "No, submit anyway" and then it tells that another post has come in since you got the last message, etc. Is this possible, that you would never get a second in which a newer post has NOT been submitted? Or am I imagining a sceneario that couldn;'t happen?

Correction. Looks like I was wrong. It just happened to me in the Dome. It stopped me two times when two different posts went up. But I had made changes, so that may be why.
