Celebrities, the Internet, and Wank

No, not that kind of wank.

I'm talking about those delightful and wonder times when somebody famous does something batshit insane--usually on Twitter--and has a very public, very interactive meltdown. It's one of the most hilarious things to come out of celebrities trying to use social media like Twitter and Facebook to stay connected with the public.

My person favorite is Scott Baio's utter meltdown and digital war with Jezebel.com.

It started out with some harmless pro-life sentiments he was posting on Twitter.

People that are Pro-Choice should "Thank" their Mother for being Pro-Life

Then things got a little weird.

Bottom line: "DO NOT F**K WITH ME, MY FAMILY OR MY NON PROFIT" Ur 3rd grade politics IS OVER, GROW UP. Ur NOT a xmen superhero use ur real nm

But don't worry. He calmed down again and turned back to concerns about international border control.

If u cross the North Korean Border Illegally, you get 12 yrs hard labor. U cross the Iranian Border Illegaly you are detained indefinitely

Sadly, international politics just wasn't controversial or intellectually taxing enough for him. So he started tweeting about what really matters.

When I was young & watched Award shows, people would really sing. Not lip-synch & act like an idiot. That Ga Ga girl is Gag Gag

Then he managed to combine both of his loves of politics and mocking women in the public eye!
