    Default RIP Doug Fieger

Doug Fieger, lead singer of The Knack, dies at 57 of cancer.

The best tribute I can think of comes from the director's commentary track to Pulp Fiction, where Quentin Taranatino stated that "My Sharona" was his first choice for the background music to the rape scene because it had a "great sodomy beat." He went on to say that he was glad he ended up being unable to secure the rights to the song because it would have made the scene too funny.

I was thinking about "My Sharona" just the other day. Well, he may have only ever had one #1 single, but that's one more than I'll ever have. Cheers to your memory, Feiger.

"My Sharona" has had quite a bit of play time recently in the UK.

I only found out who the band was a couple of months ago despite having known the song for years.
