Wow, I can't believe no one's responded to this. I can't really help you with what's a radio hit or not, AG. I quit paying attention to the top 40 somewhere around 1998. Best songs from this decade that wouldn't be entirely out of place on a party mix, IMO:

I basically just did a skim of my '00 songs in iTunes, but I think I hit most of the key contributors to my list. Several more song that I missed or forgot about completely are on ivan's lists, like "Hot in Herre" by Nelly (good call!). Nickelback really is about the worst band ever. It's just bland, empty, cookie-cutter rock music. Hate hate hate.
