Maybe it will actually help clueless users. Still, it's irritating as shit when idiots go on national tv and say "hackers" are taking over the net.

I don't know anything about "FUD" or "hacking" or these "computers" you kids are using, but I do know that Lesley Stahl has been an idiot for a long long time and spews idiocy on every subject she talks about. Even when she's right, it's by sheer random accident.

It's a cultural reference. It started with those commercials in which Wilford Brimley hawks diabetes testing supplies. He pronounces it more like "diabeetus", though. It gained currency because of a lolcat featuring a fat cat with mustache-like tufts of fur. You can probably find examples by googling the misspelling.
