Is it a good idea to e-mail people's passwords to them through e-mail?
Seems to be a security risk to me. I sort of doubt that someone that misplaces/forgets their password would be able to find it in their e-mail months/years from now anyway.

probably a search for domebo will bring that one up first or second (list by date) -- so.. it wouldn't be that hard
My email is web based and I save those emails to a specific folder.Originally posted by Control-Z
Do nefarious types normally intercept random emails or is that even possible?

web emails have certainly been hacked before. its generally understood that web email and all email really is hardly "secure"
so pertaining to the spirit of the thread, another way to organize passwords for a message board is for the board to encrypt it, and never send it to you. if you forget, they reset it - and maybe send you a temp.?? i'm not really sure.
of course, you could just write down your password on paper and then delete the email message
