Default At long last, a tentacle prosthesis

A recent University of Washington graduate has developed a prosthetic tentacle to replace amputated arms. And, frankly, it's awesome.

Instead of trying to mimic the look of a human hand, it's a different limb entirely and serves as a sort of tentacle-assistant to the other arm.

More pictures and a video here.

It reminds me of the sprinter with the blade legs. It doesn't look like what nature provides, but gives a whole new kind of functionality.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.

    Welcome to Mellophant.

We started with nothing and we still have most of it left.
