    Default Is it me...

or is it very quiet around here? It's a strange atmosphere; like the place is pregnant with expectation. Expectation of what, I'm not sure.

Damn, if I called the shots around here, there'd be a minimum 5 posts and one new thread a day posting target, and anyone who couldn't meet this expectation would be walloped with the Ban-Hammer after the 2nd warning of not pulling their weight.

    Just saying like.

A thread a day probably would be excessive but I like the idea of the 5 posts.

Of course to paraphrase my spiritual leader Yogi Berra, ""If people don't want to post on Mellophant, how are you going to stop them?""

Give me their IP addresses and I'll round up some of the gang.

Banning people for not posting enough? That wouldn't be counterproductive at all!

Seeing as you are on the less than 3 posts a day mark, I can understand why you might be concerned.

Don't worry, Orual, if the Posting Police come along, I'll give you some of mine to make up the balance.

Only because you're mysterious and sassy tho'. I wouldn't just hand them to anyone.

Sarahfeena, with 5.98 posts per day, you should be safe as long as you don't ease off the gas.

I've started threads, and contributed to other people's, but they just die in the arse. Dunno why. People bleat about wanting more poasts/threads/ etc then just let them die. Mixed messages.

I have no idea what my ppd is.
I don't think so, therefore I'm probably not.

2.82. Hmm, I'd better slow down. I'd hate to burn out.

You've already exceeded your quota! I think you'd better go and have a lie down.

Or what if there was also a quality counter instituted where moderators would judge if your posts were quality enough to count towards your 5 per day. You know, to avoid people just spamming threads with ridiculous, only vaguely on-topic thoughts meant to confuse or exasperate.

    Because those totally shouldn't count.

Yeah, that's the spirit. Why don't you start a poll to see who's for it and against it? They always go down well.
