Travelling home I noticed someone had their laptop out, with a large display and was watching Drive Angry on it in full view of anyone who could have been standing behind him. Apart from being a dire Nicholas Cage movie, it is also 18 rated in the UK, R rated in the USA for violence and graphic sex.
He had headphones in, so you could not hear any of the film, but what he was watching was fairly obvious. It was his laptop, so he can watch pretty much what he likes on it, but should he have shown some concern at least and not watch an 18 rated film in the middle of the day?
So, should he have been watching it? Is watching something in this way still a private matter or, if anyone can see the screen, does it become a public showing of the material and should there be any limits to viewing in this manner?
