Dinah Shore! That's a blast from the past. And I should've at least guessed it was a woman--I remember the tune and that sort of jingle would've been more likely sung by a female singer.
Also I cannot believe I got the Denholm Elliott question right. I remembered the Raiders and Trading Places roles (although I thought he was a butler in the latter, so even then I thought I was pushing it), but never saw The Cruel Sea. Truth is I thought he only started in films later in life. Re: the contentious answers--there's a strong implication (not in the cartoon but the book) that Cruella is an actual demon; when bitten by one of the pups, she actually tastes like pepper, and of course the crazy heat she can tolerate is inhuman. So I'm not convinced she's really British, or alive or dead. As far as the sci-fi, the rather unknown sequel to the novel, The Starlight Barking, is a completely bizarre genre-change from the semi-realistic original (well, except for the whole "dogs talking to each other and being able to make plans and rescue their puppies" element in The One Hundred and One Dalmatians). Cruella is given some weird brain hypnotic suggestion where she hates fur and starts to love all animals, all humans are sent to sleep by a canine from outer space ("Sirius," the literal dog star--I kid you not), and all the dogs apparently have their own Parliament and Prime Minister equivalents; Sirius gives them the opportunity to be sent into space for a new life where humans won't subjugate them. Meanwhile, Cruella loses her hypnotic suggestion by... some method I don't remember... and she turns evil again, finally sent back to prison for the rest of her life. Dogs save the day and decide to stay at home.
So, yeah. I choose to ignore that book. The One Hundred and One Dalmatians was one of my favorite books as a kid. Probably because I had a pet Dalmatian and I loved that there was a book all about them.

Yep, they were married for about a year or so before Arthur died. How strange things would be if Arthur had lived. No schism w/Rome (at least I don't know if anyone else would've been ballsy enough to cut the Pope off at the knees as Henry did), no Bloody Mary, no Elizabethan age... It's barely possible the Stewarts would still have reigned (depending on what issue resulted from King Arthur(!) and Catherine), but I suppose their branch might've started earlier with Mary Q. of S. rather than waiting until James. Hmm, we might not have such differing views on DW. I've only seen maybe two DW episodes since the reboot, and my favorite doctors are 5, 3 and 2--all old-school. But I still think of the show as a children's show even if during the Eccleston/Tennant/Smith years there was apparently a lot of romantic stuff. Is that what you meant about Eastenders? Personally I do like continuity and arcs--one of my favorite through-lines was the Turlough stuff back during Davison's reign, and I greatly enjoyed everything to do with Pertwee being stuck on earth working with UNIT.
(Did you see the trailer for the Capaldi season yet? He looks awesome. Back to the Doctor being mysterious and dangerous--should be good for fans of Tom Baker, but without the stupid manic clowning humor I so disliked in the Baker years. And I know I'm vastly in the minority there!)
