Spicy food is delicious, as long as it's not stupidly hot. The spiciness should combine with the other flavours, not overpower them and cause physical distress. I made a smashing stirfry last night, and it had just the right amount of chili bite, balanced with salt, sugar, and garlic. I have some left over and am going to eat it very soon!

I don't know what they are smiling about, exactly, but I think it might be a kind of reflexive action, the grinning. Me, I try to sneak more air through the mouth because I (i) want to starve my lungs of oxygen to get more out of it and (ii) want to look cool like breathing through the nose like it's no big deal. Probably looks like I'm sneering or something, but some of those athletic types are probably really liking the exercise and seem to think that smiling in public is acceptable behavior, as well as needing air, so they kind of combine all that into one gesture.
