Hey EH are you hinting that you want us all to gather for breakfast by using Delaney as your vicar, so to speak, and also by having the guest refuse to talk to Kylah?
Anyone else get that feeling or is it just me? :)

Hey EH are you hinting that you want us all to gather for breakfast by using Delaney as your vicar, so to speak, and also by having the guest refuse to talk to Kylah?
Anyone else get that feeling or is it just me? :)
Sometimes I'll send you good hints via Delaney, and sometimes bad ones. He is neither an infallible oracle nor an ignorable boob. It's up to you to decide.
No rocks, though.
Hmm. I'd say the fact that NPC Mrs. Webb is so freakin' intractable at the same time that NPC Delaney is whining about breakfast (maybe he's just upset that Fastolfe is a suspect)... well, that to me indicates we're supposed to go no further until we meet up as a group. What sayeth thou, fellow crewmates?
P.S. anyrose, did Collins steal some of your painkillers? Is that why she's actually giving Kylah a (mental) compliment?! Seriously, welcome back!
It does look that way, doesn't it. It just needs someone, preferably a ranking officer, to make it happen properly *cough*Delaney*cough*
and did he really just whine to Graham and Rangin about being hungry...
Maybe his sudden food fixation is a sign of belated Sakathian Zombie Disease. Was he ever bitten?
Hey what time is it right now, gamewise? We found out about the murder at a little after 4AM, right? It's gotta be at least 5 or maybe near 6 by now, right? Then again time tends to go more slowly than I always think it will, so maybe it's only a half-hour later.
It's 5:20 ish from #1545.
Of course, the problem for Graham and Rangin is that Delaney is the ranking officer present.
Also can you imagine the reaction from the ladies in the group, if the men all go off for breakfast while they are still working. It won't be pretty.
Not pretty, but it would be very amusing. :)
I wouldn't mind breakfast. Poor Kylah hasn't eaten except a calamari ring since yesterday lunch. Considering the stress she's been under and the lack of sleep, I don't know how she's even upright.
Forgot to add, thanks for the time check, CIAS. I swear I didn't see that line there when I read that post! I'm going senile.
and finally Delaney gets the hint. :)
Guess Kylah's gotta wait for Collins to get to the staff lounge first. So... hurry up, Collins! :)
EH, was that last note about the spa/resort aimed at me? I've been assuming WR&R consists of (ignoring the old buildings) the main building complex including the lounge, the restaurants/nightclub, the stores, then the lobby at the center, then the spa area with the pool and so on. The guest suites, I figured, are a taller building connected to the main complex by some nice walkway, and then finally there are the guest cottages off to the opposite side from the lounge area (as referenced when Kylah was walking outside). Do I have the setup roughly correct?
Here, I whipped up a mockup of the layout as I saw it. Is this roughly right? (Click for full-size view in glorious TechniColor! Note that house #5, going clockwise from the bottom left, is Fastolfe's blue house. :))
http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps5fa527d6.jpg
Am I a nut for actually needing the map to help me visualize this? And am I an even bigger nut for making the map?
Wait, don't answer the last two questions.
I had roughly the same idea about the resort as well, with the spa only being a part of it.
As for the image, nicely done. I thought you were just looking for extra XP in making it though :p
Thank you! Making the smellovision tricorder must've won me enough XP to tide me over for a while! :)
(I actually got pretty lucky in finding a resort map that looked almost exactly right for WR&R; just had to move a few buildings around, relabel the components and create the cottages, which came from a different image.)
choie, that's wonderful! I love it! But you forgot one of the cottages is yellow. ;)
That's an awesome graphic! Thanks. The guest houses and their park directly abut the rest of the resort, though, and the pool is not indoors, just roofed.
I think I've figured what's up with Halsey
Spoiler (mouseover to read):
It's spore induced
but I could be wrong and Rangin knows nothing of this.
:: whistles; looks casually upwards ::
Anyway I hope T'Var remembers to share her knowledge of Hsu looking at Halsey when asked about any arguments with Wilson. How frustrating to know this fact while our characters must be ignorant of it!Spoiler (mouseover to read):
Hmm, if that's true it's odd that Kylah didn't notice it; she could certainly tell that Palver was off the spores.
That's a good question. Are we in sync with T'Var, timewise? How long does an autopsy take in the future?Quote:

That shouldn't matter. In all the Crime Dramas, the cop figure always walks in on the ME in the middle of an autopsy and requests an update. :p
I wonder what Dr T'Var's answer machine message would be :D
Heh, yeah, Delaney's getting special treatment, darn it!
And actually that last bit--about everyone knowing what everyone else knows--isn't true. As I mentioned above, T'Var knows that Hsu looked warily at Halsey when the question was asked about anyone having disagreements with Wilson. Since I don't know if WES reads this forum, can you give her a nudge on that -- although that information will have to wait until she's out of Halsey's hearing range, of course.
As for T'Var's answering message? I'm guessing it's just a long sigh. She sighs a lot! :)
I also just noticed a slight oddity/omission, which may be purposeful:
Kylah just remarked on this in the game thread, but: what about the bruise we saw on Wilson's right wrist?Quote:

You don't need me to repeat what Delaney said; he's an NPC anyway.
My bad about the wrist bruise. I'll fix it.
You also don't need me to repeat for the third time my advice from then.
Holy. Shit. WTF I was completely vamping on the Mrs. Hsu affair guess!
The plot thickens...Dun...dun...duuuuunnnnnn!!!!
Choie, Collins is halfway to the security office. She probably didn't hear you/Kylah
Ah, thank you. I thought she was still getting coffee. Fixed!
Man, I know Collins is called "sir" sometimes, but "gentleman"? That's harsh.Quote:
What can we do for you, gentlemen?" Hsu asks.
It's professionally generic by then. Just ask Mr. Saavik.
Oh great. So in this fantabulous future of equality, everything defaults to male? Nice one, Roddenberry.
"And four, what do I have against question marks." :devil:Quote:
"One, is there any other realistic way out of that room except through the door. Fourth floor suite, so I would guess not. Two, how long would it take to get from that room to the site he was found and where would he have had to pass to get there and is there any route he could take which would not pass by other people, for instance avoiding the lobby. Three, did anyone else enter that room in the time before Mr Wilson, say the preceding three or four hours."
Sorry to triple post, but the coffee thing is hilarious. I can just imagine this conversation with the security folks where suddenly Collins blurts out "COFFEE!"
Oh, Rangin, please pass along this tidbit to Kylah. She needs something to cheer her up.
DON'T YOU DARE!!!!
oh, okay. go ahead.
Heh. Well, she can blame it on the pregnancy; some women do have trouble concentrating what with the hormones and all. I forget, how pregnant is she, anyway? Like a month or so? Time is hard to track.
I'm thinking somewhere between 3 to 5 weeks, given how long in game time she's known Cooper. EH, is that right?
Oh my gosh, it's possibly only three weeks? Dang! Can we soap-opera-retcon this to imply more time has passed between missions? You know, like Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome where a kid is 6 one day and 17 the next? :D Nothing that drastic obviously, but I'd like to think that Kylah's been on board at least a month, rather than... what, 10 days?
I don't remember the circumstances under which Jeremi and Cooper met/hooked up. Was it after the 1st mission but before the 2nd started (during that fake test mission, maybe)? How did you guys get together?
We flirted before the first mission started, and by the the end of that thread we were a couple.
Also consider two things - by the 23rd century, detecting a pregnancy could be done almost immediately after conception; and even if it were closer to 7 or 8 weeks, Collins would likely not yet be showing.
A former coworker was tall and fit and didn't show until her her 7th month; and at 9+ months (she delivered late) she still only looked 6 months along.
Collins is about at the one-month mark for her pregnancy, I believe. If someone finds differently in one of the earlier game threads, I will happily stand corrected.
Thanks! Her showing or not showing wasn't my issue; I just want time to pass so the depth of our relationships make some sense. Cooper wanting to get married after a month makes him a psycho, and Kylah/Rangin's relationship is pretty intense considering they've only known each other for less than two weeks. Ditto Graham's feelings for Bennett.
If this were a democracy I'd vote for SORAS. :) But it's not and I'm probably the only one who feels this way.
"SORAS"?
and Cooper only offered marriage after finding out he was to be a father. That's not psychotic, that's noble and old fashioned and a tad stupid, but not psychotic.
Psycho in the non-clinical sense, obviously. I think he's bonkers. To only get married just because you knocked someone up 3 weeks into your relationship, in the 23rd century? I mean, that's fairly old-fashioned in the 21st century unless you're super-religious!
I defined SORAS in my last post: Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome. Popular acronym for soap fans, sorry.
Cooper's an old-fashioned guy from a conservative family, as he explained.
Okay, okay, I take it back, Cooper is the most awesome parfit gentil knight who ever wore a Starfleet uniform. Bennett is a graceful, intelligent ideal of female perfection personified, and Jan is an amazing kind, considerate lover.
Geeze, how come T'Var got stuck with the only NPC romantic object who sucked?
Rangin's got an interesting strategy. Telling Hsu and Patel that they're two out of three suspects, with the third being Hsu's wife?
It is really weird about the video feed. Why would the apparent killer take out the fake looped video and leave static in its place? If s/he didn't, why is there static at all instead of the looped video?
Then there's Halsey's attitude and Palver's sudden de-sporification. Lots of scarlet fishies swimming around!
I prefer them pickled or in cream sauce, m'self. ;)
Oh gosh, pickeled herring!! That brings back such fond memories of my late pop! He had pickled herring & onions as an appetizer for dinner quite often. I couldn't abide 'em but just thinking about that dish is really comforting.
LOL, I'm now imagining this and it's totally canon in my head.
Yeah but Wilson is dead, so aren't the security folks working on the presumption not that Wilson is hiding his tracks, but that the killer was? I dunno, even if it wasn't coming off the other way, Rangin is basically prompting Hsu to find out that Wilson is porking his wife -- assuming he didn't know. Ouch! :D Ah well, we shall see.
Wilson disabled/rigged the cameras so he could hook up with Mrs Hsu. Mrs Hsu put them back at some point during the early part of our investigation, or after we were called and just before we showed up, in an effort to cover her tracks
But this isn't the first time they've hooked up together, according to the messages. So did he disable the cameras that other time too, and no one noticed? And why not just leave the video as-is so that the loop was still there, rather than leaving static, which is even more obvious than a loop?
Who do I look like, Richard Castle?
I like it
He's not Collins' type. He's not Human.
Or a psycho conservative who hasn't mastered the use of birth control*.
* In fairness, Kylah has no basis for being certain that Rangin knows how to 'wrap it up.' But he's such a cautious guy I can't imagine he rides bareback, so to speak.
Here's what Memory Alpha has on contraception. Looks like it exists for both males and females.
Looks like someone forgot HIS shot, although I'm not sure what the rules are in the game though.
The Memory Alpha entry is consistent with current Starfleet practice, I'd say.
OMG, looking at that Memory Alpha listing, apparently in the "Making of Star Trek" book, if they'd been allowed to discuss contraception on TOS it would've explained that the shot was mandatory for unmarried women. Yipe! Double standards!
Anyhoo, I wonder about diseases. Contraception is all well and good, but unless STDs are a thing of the past, there are still reasons to exercise caution. That's partly why Kylah's so icked out right now. She has no idea how many beds Jan has danced his way into.
I can't say I'm too surprised. Women didn't even serve at sea aboard U.S. Navy vessels in the mid-Sixties, and IIRC pregnancy was automatic grounds for discharge for women in all branches of the U.S. military back then.
STDs are not a thing of the past by the time of ST:TOS. Some would have been eradicated, but others would have been, er, picked up on different planets as the Federation grew. Hell, there could be dozens more.
"Yeah," Collins says with her usual tact. "Your wife's bra, for a start. You recognize any of her unmentionables lying around?"Quote:
The service corridor's door to the study is also locked, and Hsu opens it, as well. "Anything in particular we should be looking for?" he asks.
Looks like Mr Wilson had more than one special ladyfriend...
Just what else was he up to?
Maybe he meant "people like him -- you know the type I mean, wink wink nudge nudge..." I mean, Graham obviously thinks Fastolfe is gay, and he does seem to spend an inordinate amount of time musing on same-sex or polyamorous relationships.
But seriously, yeah, I loved that line. general_urko, you must've intended that as a set-up for Kylah -- it was so ripe for her to react to it!
Falstofe is probably more an anything goes kind of guy. He'd probably try it on with Graham if he thought it would make for a fun night.
Hmm... interesting. I'll have to think about that.
You know that last comment from Rangin was aimed at Mr Hsu, but it still makes perfect sense having been ninja'd by anyrose.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend"
There's the natural red of the Scots and Irish (Collins has Irish blood), then there's the bluer red that would look good against Asain skin.
Wow, Kylah. Drama much?
eta - Rangin's not in trouble. Collins didn't even catch that he hesitated when he looked at her hair. *I* caught it, but she didn't.
Now, now. It wasn't completely against her will. She was free to go and didn't. Besides, did you see what she was wearing?
JUST KIDDING!!!!
EH I just want some credit for living down to Graham's crappy PSI and LUCK scores :D
LOl anyrose you are so on the hell express -- no stops, just straight on through. :)
And general, this one is really not Graham's fault. He had no idea Collins had made those nasty remarks about Kylah and her mom that led directly to Kylah's rape and thus Colllins is totally responsible for what happened.
JUST KIDDING!!!
She's only partly responsible.
I am curious to see how Graham takes the info about T'Var, not to mention the revelation that Kylah lost her mom when she was only 10. He already associates her w/Elizabeth...
Ouch, Rangin hit closer than I thought.
It's wonderful how this crew is bonding by finding each other's weakest spots.
Yup, and now Graham is just going to allow Kylah to limp around with an obviously scraped knee. :o
Oh grief.
Well, in fairness, it's hardly debilitating. Every child gets a scraped knee that's magically improved by a band-aid and a kiss from mom.
more
Oh man, I'd love that. But unless we're getting together very soon, it looks like Rangin and Collins will be busy with their magic cube for a while. Wait, where is Delaney during all this? I know T'Var is very very busy having tea with Halsey. :)
I just realized that Kylah's idea about going to the infirmary won't solve her problem about making sure the sexing-up isn't on her official medical record, so she'll have to realize this too and change her mind about going there. It'll have to wait until T'Var finally leaves the WR&R hospital.
While we'e talking about popcorn and price of admission, I should say kudos to choie for upping the ante by running and falling...it was (1) totally unexpected but also (2) what needed to follow was totally clear
Delany is still in the conference room, er, CP (command post), keeping an eye on the evidence and arranging for a safe to be beamed down from the ship, and then securing it.
choie mentioned Kylah's high heels - those were an option, for female Starfleet uniforms of the day, but low-heel boots were also standard issue:

http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/3...omwomenqo7.jpg
Thanks, general_urko, and good job in reacting poignantly. I don't even know why I had her fall, except it seemed like it would be the perfect cap on what's been a super mission so far.
EH I figure Kylah's used to flat sandals; even two-inch heels, which is what those look like, could be difficult if you hate anything but flats. At any rate, she needed something to blame at the moment.
Thanks for reminding me about Delaney! At least he's holding down the fort.
Those are *not* two inch heels - they are one inch, maybe an inch and a quarter. http://i.imgur.com/z33pjch.png
They look most like the 1.6 - 1.8" heels to me. And geeze, why so defensive? Did you design them or something? :)
No. I just know heel heights, having fallen off everything from a 1 inch wedge to a 4 inch spike. :D
eta which is why I live in sneakers
There is wisdom in that.
Is Thuvas spending his time ogling Kylah's legs or is he gonna open the bloody door? :)
Aw, isn't that sweet, now Rangin and Collins are mimicking each other's thoughts. So when's the wedding?
Rangin is getting to walk around with a intelligent and good looking lady who listens to him. Why spoil it :D
"Intelligent"? Cite, please?
:RAEG:
:: golf clap ::
Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week...try the veal.
"You knew Wilson was having an affair with your wife!" Collins stands and leans forward with her palms on the table "Where were you last night?"
Sure, she'll buy a gift for another staff member. That worked out really well for Kylah yesterday! :)
And hey Kylah did tell Graham that Mrs. Webb was in House #3.
I hope we'll all be meeting up soon. I think Graham and Kylah need to be informed about that safe (and hair evidence) and they need to tell the others about the rumors about Wilson getting fired. And T'Var needs to let us all know how the tea is in the infirmary. :D
Hey - it still might - Collins hasn't opened the box yet
I think Delaney or Rangin should call everyone to say "it's been two hours, folks" - whenever that may be
Actually, once the box is out the wall, the two hours will be more or less up. Rangin commented on it in #1736.
Don't worry, someone is keeping track of time. :D
That's good to know.
Remember, you can ask any NPC or witness multiple questions in a single post; I'll post their answers, and then you can follow up in another post.
So the earrings weren't enough, but the bracelet will be the tipping point? I'll say this, Collins has a high price! :)
Heh, the funny thing is I don't know if this line is more in character for Collins or Graham.
I'm hoping Ferguson's been spending the last two days telling the whole ship about Stalker!Kylah--it'd be a shame if he weren't, I mean, he defamed her in public for a reason. And oh my, what if he found out about the one-night-stand with Jan? Can't imagine how he would, but I reeeally want that to happen.
But I suspect EH's motives in having Kylah realize that about the uniform were just a GM flinging a Logic Obstacle in my path to see if I could wriggle my (or Kylah's) way past it. Gotta make us think before we act!
:: looks innocently at the ceiling and whistles ::
I see him more in a high leather backed swivel chair petting a small white persian cat...while looking innocently at the ceiling and whistling.
I have no cat anymore, alas, and our goofy yellow Lab would kind of spoil the effect.
Somehow the vision of Blofeld slowly turning round to face Bond, while peering over a large Labrador on his lap that is licking the side of his face would be hilarious.
:bravo:
"Were any of them redheads? Where were you and your wife again?" Yep, I see Collins is indeed the soul of tact and discretion! :D
I can't tell you how hard it is to retain the respect of your minions when that happens.
NASA reveals a metric shitload of new, potentially Class-M planets: http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/26/tech/i...html?hpt=hp_t2
Regarding Kylah and Rangin, it's about frickin' time! Please make sure you lock the door before you go any further. You wouldn't want the rest of the crew walking in on you - or would you? ;)
WES just sent me a PM. She'll have to go on hiatus from the game for the foreseeable future, due to some work issues and her mother's poor health. I've told her she's welcome back anytime, of course. I'll run Dr. T'Var until her return, unless someone else would like to.
I know, it's about time, right? (Well, despite it only being, like, two weeks since they met, or whatever the game time is.) CIAS & I ended up taking things farther than expected, actually. As far as discretion goes, considering they've declared their affections by mere hand-kissing, I think they're probably not at the point of sweeping everything off the conference table and going at it like tribbles. :)
Oh man, I'm really sorry things are going roughly for you, WES. I hope everything works out and your mom's health improves. We'll miss you!!
Hang in there, WES. We're all here for you.
Likewise best wishes WES and I hope you're able to return soon
And so say all of us.
Indeed and if you can't play the game, I hope you can still kick my arse continue to provide guidance at chess :D
Graham invites Kylah out of a storm of ice and snow into his warm home, where there is a roaring fire in the hearth and well-positioned comfortable seating. Kylah gets really angry, then cries, and then does something that reminds him of something he feels terribly guilty about in relation to his daughter, his late wife, or both.
Rangin clearly has a higher Luck score.
Also more charm, I suppose :D
Well no he *is* more charming :smack
:) Kylah is walking in a snowstorm and sees two men standing by a pair of log cabins. The younger of the two sees a slimy beast near Kylah and, together, though they are both injured, they successfully fight it off. He is the first to back up her refusal to obey a mission leader who makes a tasteless and spiteful order to handcuff a man with his dying--and about to be turned into killer zombie--wife. He is unassuming, curious, and never raises his voice but stands up for what he believes in against more powerful people than himself. Eventually he invites her into his house.
She turns to the other man. He is the same age as the uncle who basically has been holding her leash since she was 12; boasts of beating an unarmed prisoner to death; tends to violate her personal space by looming over her and holding onto her; is pals with the abovementioned mission leader who seems to hate her; and purposely intimidates a harmless guy with the same knife used to threaten him earlier. Despite other moments of unexpected kindness, he seems to be an unpredictable, violent man who abuses authority with vulnerable targets. Eventually he invites her into his house.
Kylah darts into the first man's house as the second man looks dejected and pouts, then probably takes a swig of ale and finds a pickpocket to kick around.
Seriously, for all the nice things Graham's said and the help he's given Kylah, he also scares the crap out of her because he is such a dichotomy and she never knows which is the real Booker Graham. In short, he reminds her of her Guardian/uncle Aldaan, a guy she fears and detests. Some of that isn't Graham's fault, but some of it is. Also, in the space of three days he's been right around the corner or directly present when she's just experienced two particularly shame-filled events. Fair or not, it's sometimes human nature to mistrust/resent someone who's seen us at our most vulnerable.
IIRC we have no CHA attribute in our stats. I'd guess Rangin's is the highest in the group, with Kylah's not too far behind (when she turns on the charm, she's almost always successful). Graham is probably in the middle with T'Var, and Collins.... well, I'm guessing girlfriend took CHA as her dump stat.
ROTFL :bravo:
>she never knows which is the real Booker Graham
Well said, sometimes he loses track, too...
Actually, if you look at the character sheets, we do have a CHA stat which is probably more related to appearance than anything.
CHA typically reflects appearance, first and foremost, but also personality, leadership skills and self-confidence.
Wow I never noticed the CHA stat on our sheets. Funnily enough my approximations were right, although we're missing Rangin's and WES's stats.
I guess definitions of CHA seem to differ. On the RPGtalk wiki the Charisma definition says:
Well, "likeable" lets Kylah out! Although as I said earlier when she wants to, she can charm when she's not, y'know, in the middle of angst. (Which isn't saying much since she has a lot of angst!) Even in EH's definition, the "confidence" thing doesn't fit her either. Ah well. :)Quote:
Charisma is charm and force of personality. Characters with charisma are likeable, persuasive, and inspiring.
Alternate terms: Charm, Presence, Personality
In Dungeons & Dragons, Charisma is used for sorcery and bardic magic.
Edited to add: I am really curious about this wench who hurt Rangin. Or was she the love of his life who died? Something complex is going on. CIAS, I like that you wrote that "Is Kylah like her? No, she isn't..." part ambiguously. Is that meant to be a favorable or unfavorable comparison? Is the first question asked with hope or dread? Interesting stuff.
Charisma can also be force of personality - for example, I'd say prevailing nerd opinion is that in D&D terms Hitler had very high Charisma.
It was muddled in D&D for a long time - for a brief while in D&D (way back in the day) there was a stat called "Comeliness" which was intended to be all about appearance, and make Charisma clearly about "other things."
Not that I am comparing Kylah to Hitler in an online forum.
We'll jump that shark when we come to it... :D
^^ Oh, someone on a career track that requires diplomacy and ability to lead... like, a captain or something.
Hey boss. You wrote:
How much can they heal at this point in time? Do we ever see any of the TOS characters in casts or slings? I'm just wondering if a knee sprain gets fixed instantly or if it requires time to heal. I'd have Kylah ask, but I have the feeling she'd know what a 23rd century medico can do.Quote:
Kylah knows that the doctor will be able to easily heal any scrapes or cuts so that she won't need bandages.
(Also, I'm wondering... didn't Collins contact T'Var and ask her to go to the conference room, and T'Var agreed? Why'd she go from the infirmary to the guest house area instead?)
Healing of minor cuts and bruises is very easy for a Starfleet medico of this era. I can't think of any ST:TOS character ever seen in a cast or sling. A knee sprain could be mostly healed by gadget or drugs, but the body would still need time to "catch up" on the molecular level and wouldn't be completely healed for another day or so.
As to T'Var's current whereabouts, perhaps you should ask her.
Um... I wouldn't be trumpeting that INT score yet, either of you. Because considering Hsu is a possible suspect, do we really want him
a) left alone in the office with complete access to Wilson's computer, his belongings, any other evidence y'all haven't carefully looked at yet (the financial books, for example), and especially the safe (which he could be lying about regarding whether he knows how to open it or not)
and
b) hanging with us in the conference room command post while we discuss likely suspects, which include both him and his wife? Why on earth is Collins so insistent that he's one of the gang now? Won't it be pretty tactless to have him in part of the meeting and then ask him to step out later?
She only invited him so that he wouldn't be alone in the suite. So there. :p
I was kind of worried that Collins' proactive step to get the team food and Kylah's happy mood as a result of Rangin's attention might decrease the internecine fighting. Whew, glad to see there's no let up... :D
Hey, we're trying to solve a murder here! Romance and snacks are all very well, but I take my participation in mysteries very seriously. :)
:bravo::popcorn:
which, if he was the murderer and knew about the safe, he's had several hours to access already. Also, Rangin has been keeping an eye on him while he's been in there.
But, as chief of security, if he wanted to do something without us knowing, he could probably do so. Don't forget Wilson's apartment has a side entrance as well with no monitoring at all.
well, then why doesn't Rangin ask Delaney to encode the back door so only the Yorktown crew has the code.
Thanks everyone for your words of support. Much appreciated!
I am reflecting back on the fact that mostly we all didn't talk much with the guests when they were in the indoctrination room.
Which might have surfaced some useful info...but what is actually more funny about it is that we must have been feeling eager to get on with...fighting with each other. :fishbeat:
There is no drama without conflict
There is no cheeseburger without cheese.
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.
It's not warm when she's away
She must have arrived just after Krangin left the CP. Apparently it took at least fifteen minutes for Kylah to limp her way to Graham and apologize?
Krangin? I though we were going for Rylah? :p
Vellah
I thought Collins went looking for the others instead of returning to the CP?
I am wherever the Lord High Executioner gamemaster says I am.
I thought she ordered the donuts etc. and then went to the CP. Let's play it that way, in any event.
If one half of the party don't ask some questions quickly, all the pastries will be gone by the time they get back. :D
So, do all the suspect parties here have stock in a rival company...
Just two... so far.
Sorry anyrose, welcome to the hot spot. :)
In fairness, sometimes alternate questions just don't occur to me unless I hear the response. I mean there are basic questions one can ask, but if I'm asking an open-ended question that's more off-the-beaten-track, I may not know what follow-up will be necessary.
I just noticed two things:
1) both times the question about a guest's investments in rival companies was asked, it was EH-running-a-PC asking it, rather than one of us. Methinks our GM is trying to steer us in a certain direction. Trying to send us on the scent of a red herring, or trying to help put us on the right track? We'll have to see. :iiam:
2) How the hell did I not notice, until looking back a couple of game pages, that it was Ferguson who transported T'Var and Halsey back up to the ship for the autopsy? I totally missed that. Looks like Kylah dodged a bullet by not going back up to the ship after her injury. Although.. it could've been kinda awesomely unpleasant. Oh well. Hopefully the opportunity will present itself again. :)
I'm just gathering some thoughts - I'll be posting soon
mine says "buh-bye"
