I've always admired the cyberpunk style and have just moved into a new apartment. I want to decorate the place with something out of the ordinary.
So what should I put up to have a cyberpunk themed home?

Ok so right now I'm thinking of a couple of old CRT tv's or old monitors obtained from goodwill with the cases removed and maybe running on a video loop when people come over. For the walls maybe put circuit boards and LEDs around the place. It's only a one bedroom place so I wouldn't need much to fill the place out.
First of all you need a ceiling fan, preferably a huge one that makes ominous noise.
And a large Native Indian sand mural.
Random ventilation duct covers on the wall can also give a home a certain post-industrial charm.
For lighting steal a neon sign from an asian take-away.
A roadwork's saw-horse and a traffic cone...you see them lying about all over the place.
Not to be a wet blanket, but you do know there's some serious voltage in there, right?
"There are two areas which have particularly nasty electrical dangers: the non-isolated line power supply and the CRT high voltage."
"Major parts of nearly all modern TVs and many computer monitors are directly connected to the AC line - there is no power transformer to provide the essential barrier for safety and to minimize the risk of equipment damage."
"The high voltage to the CRT, while 200 times greater than the line input, .....it is not nearly as likely to be lethal since the current available from the line connected power supply is much greater."
Well, it needs to be eclectic. Artwork from each of the continents at least - and yes, I expect Antarctic art. Needs to be dark, but liberally doused with LEDs and the like - balancing the artificial light with the symbolic darkness is a must. A pile of drugs in the corner will go a long way towards tying the room together.
But seriously, you have a computer, right? Isn't that enough?
