RIP Keith Floyd
Sadly Keith Floyd died yesterday, I kow he has not been on tv for a while, but for me he was the definitive tv chef.
Never without a glass of "plonk" in his hand he had an honest and open style and unlike the Ramsey and others of the new generation wasn't on an ego trip.
I don't believe in life after death, but if there is an afterlife for Floyd, I hope that it's one where the food is good and the bars never close.

Crap! He was by far the best TV chef. His shows are always repeated on Saturday mornings.
-
Really, which channel? I haven't seen Floyd on tv for a couple of years now.
-
He's always on Saturday Kitchen Live, and I think one of the UKTV channels has about an hour or two of him on Saturday (Floyd around the Mediterranean, or something like that, was on recently).
-
He was the first celebrity chef I remember.
Mainly for his application of wine to everything, mainly himself.
But, his programmes on food were interesting and he always made it look so easy to cook the dishes, with out a lot of the extra trimmings that always seem to appear nowadays.

Oh, no - I haven't seen any of his shows in years, but we used to watch him quite a bit, and he did make it look fun and easy to cook. :(
