No, it's god's fault for opening up the gates of hell for all us heathens, and letting all those cfc's out.

It's like the mormons who tried to tell me that humans had destroyed mountain ecosystems, so we must pray to God to fix our problems for us. The most logical thing about it was the fact that there were no mountains anywhere near where they were witnessing, and Australia lacks any real mountains anyway.

On my way to work from the rail station this morning, I passed a homeless man who was drinking Lysol out of a paper cup and muttering to himself, and he made more sense than the Pope.

So is the Pope finally going to talk about overpopulation, and the need for effective, freely-accessible contraception? 'Bout time.

If someone can explain to me clearly how I can change my atheistic ways and adopt a lifestyle more pleasing to a creator, I'll be willing to give this believing business a try. Do I have to pray for forgiveness or something first? Do I have to do it everyday at a particular time, or just do it the once but be mindful that I am being watched at all times and act accordingly?

Agnostic church disliker here.

The Pope might sound crazy, but he has pushed a bunch of Green initiatives within the Church at least. The addressing of population growth would be worth far more than anything he has done but at least he is trying to reduce the carbon footprint of the Vatican and encouraging the same throughout the Church.

This concludes a half-hearted defense of the Pope.

I'd be more respectful of the Vatican's efforts if they handed over half their wealth to a think tank designed to deal with planetary problems.
