Disney and its dead employees.. "cast members"
Disney can't seem to catch a break..

and not too long ago...
Link.
I just find it vaguely.. creepy.. to not just say "We're sorry these people died, Disney is doing what it can to make sure this never happens.. etc..etc.."
Instead you have some sort of weird.. cult like.. description of its members. "We're saddened by the loss of a fellow cast member.."
A bit of branding within a condolence note?
Re: Disney and its dead employees.. "cast members"
Disney is extremely careful to stage manage all events at its parks, in order to maintain the illusion of non-reality it has carefully crafted over the last few decades.
Although what you read seems very cold, (and it is), I don't believe for a minute that the person who made that quote has drunk the Flavor-Aid any more than the rest of the employees have. You're not reading an outpouring of grief from a friend/colleague; you're seeing a corporate statement from a company who trades in happiness.
It may or may not be healthy to perpetuate this view of a perfect wonderland for children, but there it is. As an adult, if you have never heard of Snopes, I suggest reading here.
