Great music moments in film
I don't necessarily mean musicals (although the title sequence for Singin' in the Rain is one of the most jubilant moments on film). My picks?
Easy Rider - Jack, Peter and Dennis driving through the great Southwest to the tune of The Band's "The Weight". Here is the clip.
On the other end of the spectrum, the bit from Reservoir Dogs featuring "Stuck in the Middle with You" by Steeler's Wheel is quite memorable.

It's not a film but a tv miniseries, the use of Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper" in The Stand.

70's Porn Music in all its glory, thank you for making out bushy dreams come true

My first one, in the extended edition of Close Encounter of the Third Kind as he enters the ship a new theme is heard. Part way through it, it becomes recognizable as "When you wish upon a Star." It gave me goosebumps the first time I saw this version for some reason.

Tarantino is great at incorporating music into scenes and letting the energy of it drive his films. I remember seeing Pulp Fiction for the first time, not knowing much about it and not having seen Reservoir Dogs. (Hey, I had been out of the country.) After the opening diner scene, Dick Dale's "Misirlou" came blasting out of the so]und system over the opening credits. I looked at my friend and said, "This movie is going to be awesome."

Sat in the back of Crockett's car, cruising Miami late in the evening with Phil Collin's In The Air Tonight blasting away, was pretty memorable.
The closing number of The Life Of Brian always makes me want to get up and stamp my feet.
The saxophone solo from Betty Blue is great in a melancholic way. The piano pieces, even more so.
And another Reservoir Dogs moment.

This is what I thought of.

The Guitar Solo in Back to the future by Michael J. Fox.
The Matrix II sequence: Burly Brawl with Neo vs. the tons of Agent Smiths
The Warriors- the End Sequence on the Beach with them walking into the sunset, the singing "warriors... come out and play-yay... " by the villian, and the usage of the DJ Narrator.

The opening credits and the first scene of "The Magnificent Seven".
