I knew there was a reason I wanted beer even more than usual.
Faith n'begorrah, ye lads n'lassies.
I'm wearing green plaid boxers, a green t-shirt and a green plaid flannel shirt. That's all I have, until I go outside with my green jacket on. (I'll have to go outside soon, before it warms up.)

But today I'm wearing a green shirt, just in case of angry leprechauns or the like.

I am half-way through a pint of Guinness, the cats are wearing orange(Pixel) and green(Havoc) collars, and based on the smells coming from the kitchen, dinner will be superb! Happy happy joy joy.

I spent most of the day celebrating my eldest nephew's birthday. The poor kid was born on Saint Patrick's Day and was named Daniel. He's only fifteen now, but I can foresee many, many birthdays in his future where he's serenaded with drunken versions of "Danny Boy."
My question is: where are all the Irish men!?? Can I put in an order for one?
I went with a couple of co-workers to the nearby pub and had a Guinness and a Jameson's.
I am getting fantastically drunk and going to bed with a hot man of mostly Irish descent.

Hey! I married a Red Sox fan. The female variety are just as crazy as the male. But there are over-riding benefits that make it of less concern.
Luckily, we have enough corned beef left over for sandwiches and hash. I even got fresh rye and saurkraut for Reubens!
I'm an Irish guy and I hate all Sox, white or red.

I'm a Yankees fan, so I just can't match myself with a Red Sox fan at all. Any other team is workable.
I can even take someone who hates baseball, just not a Sux fan.

Heh. I'm a Red Sox fan, and I dated a Yankees fan for years. Of course, I don't actually hate the Yankees (as a matter of fact, I've historically been that one sane person in the crowd saying "Um, they clearly DON'T suck, ya whiny bitches. Stop embarrassing yourselves."), so it's easy for me to be good humored about it.

The wake seems to have been paired way down so instead we're having a really small St Patty's day dinner.
I've no plans. We have a long weekend, but since I'm underemployed right now, every weekend is long for me. I'm babysitting my niece tomorrow night. That's the only concrete plan. Not sure if I can be arsed going to the parade, I haven't been in years. I was even thinking of opening the bookstore on Saturday (usually stores close here on Paddy's Day).
I'm sensing a new expression:"Empty as an Irish bookstore on St. Patrick's Day."
