Table Top
This is a fantastic idea for a web series. Wil Wheaton hosts a board game with various geek personalities and then their game is edited into a half hour show. Just this first episode has made me decide I need to get my hands on Small World and force somebody to play it with me.

He doesn't look like a man about to turn 40. Looks like a cool series, must have a watch of it tomorrow.

I took a look, and found Wheaton to be a little too.. "on." Almost unctuous/sleazy, somehow. Don't think I'll watch anymore.

Well, it is Wesley Crusher...
;)
I did find him a bit grating in the intro. Not so much once game play actually started. I'm hoping he tones it down in future episodes.

Wesley, as a character, annoyed me at first but eventually he grew on me. By the time he left the show I was fine with him. I've read Wheaton's blogs and essays and usually enjoyed them, but in this he's just... ugh.

Yeah, the smarm surprised me a bit. While he's done characters like that, it's not part of his persona online or in appearances. Since the worst of it was in a separate bit from the gameplay itself, I wonder when it was recorded in comparison to the rest and if there'd been some worry that the show would be boring without a caricature of a game show host on it.
