Forgotten Futures Setup Thread
I'm looking to start a game which will be set in Victorian England (at least to start) and utilize elements of steampunk and magic. The game system itself will be based on third edition D&D, but I'll be simplifying it and managing the game mechanics myself. All the players will have to do is, well, play.
The basic premise to begin is that it is the year 1872 and technology has made several dramatic leaps forward. Though Charles Babbage is dead, his analytical engine is fully functional. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas is not science-fiction, but a true account. As weird science has advanced, archaic mysticism has begun to resurface as well.
I'm looking for about six characters. Despite the magic and D&D present, only human characters will be allowed to start. The chance for characters to develop magic will be available later. Engineers and scientists will definitely be good choices in this setting.
I'll need character name, gender, ethnicity and occupation to begin with, then I can generate your sheets.
And just to warn people, I'm a student and I've got a job so it might be kind of slow with me only able to update about three times a week. I'll do my best to keep it interesting, though!
