No googling! Don't think I won't know. :hoj:
Name all 4 Golden Girls. Extra credit if you include their last names.
Rose Nyland, Blanche Deveraux, Dorothy Zbornak, Sophia Petrillo. (I cannot vouch for the spelling.)
Name all 5 Cosby kids.
Theo, Vanessa, Rudy, and...Sandra and Denise? I'm a little less sure about the older two, as they weren't as interesting.
Name 4 of the characters who worked in Cheers
Coach, Diane, Carla & Sam Malone
Name 4 of the roommates on Threes Company
Jack, Janet, Chrissy, and Cindy.
What was the name of Richie Cunningham's steady girlfriend, who he eventually married?
Loribeth.
Where was the Happy Days Gang when Fonzie literally jumped the shark?
Bonus points, name another sitcom that has an actual shark jumping.
Hawaii? I won't post another question until you tell me if I'm right, cause I'm really not sure.
Definitely don't know the answer to your bonus question.
Not Hawaii.
Next Guess ...
No, they were in California. (I don't know the answer to the bonus question either.)
Name three UK sitcoms that have been remade for American TV.
The Office, Coupling, Fawlty Towers (very, very badly).
Name four sitcoms that were part of ABC's TGIF lineup.
All in the Family (the best by far)
Threes Company (mentioned above)
Coupling (which was awful)
Family Matters (Urkel's show)
Perfect Strangers
Sabrina
Full House
I'll leave the bonus out there for whoever on the Shark jumping
Name the followup show to All in the Family
Archie's Place
Name Beaver Cleaver's three best friends.
Lumpy, Eddie, and Fonzie. I'm not super sure about Fonzie.
Lumpy and Eddie were Wally's friends, not the Beav's. So...no credit for you.
Sarah killed the game!
I know nothing about Leave it to Beaver except that his mom spoke jive. :fail:
Well, I know that Beaver goes too far back for some of the young 'uns around here, but I'm disappointed in Olive and Jim. :fail: The answer is: Whitey, Gilbert, and Larry.
Here's a new one...
Name the hometowns of Hawkeye, Klinger, Radar, and Colonel Potter.
Hawkeye was Crabapple Cove in Maine
Klinger was of course Toledo Ohio
Radar was Otumawa(sp?) Iowa
Colonel Potter was from Missouri and I don't recall the town. I am sure of the first three though so maybe someone else can get this last.
Sorry Sarah, I never watched Leave it to Beaver much, I thought it was pretty awful even as a kid. Same with Father Knows Best and a lot of those generic family sitcoms from the 60s.
Orual already mentioned the very best thing about Leave it to Beaver. :)
I'll give it to you, Jim. Colonel Potter was from Hannibal.
Your turn to come up with a question. ;)
Let's go more modern and try to get some younger folks into the game:
Name 3 recurring characters from Seinfeld (not the main 4)
Newman, Bania (spelling?), and Puddy.
Name the kids from Roseanne.
Darlene, Becky & DJ. There were of course 2 Becky's.
Name the brothers that were involved with the two daughters.
Becky, Darlene, and DJ (David Jacob)
Who played Rachel's mother on Friends?
Whoop, I'll answer Jim's question, and let mine stand for the next person.
Mark and David Healy.
Never mind.
Marlo Thomas.
Another Friends question: What put the "fun" in Fun Bobby?
Lots of booze.
Name Maxwell's kids from The Nanny.
Someone please answer this! I've never seen The Nanny. :fail:
I never watched it. :\
I watched it but I don't remember the kids' names. :fail:
Sorry, guys! :(
Maggie, Grace, Brighton, Eve and Jonah.
Nick at Night can be useful!
Damn right!
OK, Peeta, your turn to post a question!
Name two sitcoms Chuck Lorre has produced.
The Big Bang Theory & Two and a Half Men
Name a someone that guest star on Scrubs and was on Spin City
Alan Ruck
What was the dog's name on Mad about You?
Murray the Dog.
What comic legend appeared on Mad About You and won an Emmy for the appearance.
Carl Reiner
What was the name of the iconic character played by comic legend Carl Reiner on the Dick Van Dyke show, and was brought back for the appearance on Mad About You?
I have to answer this one: Alan Brady was the character based on Sid Caesar from the time he and Mel Brooks were on the Show of Shows. Oddly it was Mel Brooks I was thinking of when I asked my question.
The main characters on Seinfeld were based on real people: Who was George based on?
Larry David
Funny, I don't remember Mel Brooks being on Mad About You!
What was the name college Cliff, Clair, and Denise attended on The Cosby Show?
He was Uncle Phil and won 3 Emmies from 1997 to 1999.
Hillman College.
What was the name of the show that Denise Cosby was on during her college years?
A Different World.
Where was Balki from on Perfect Strangers?
Mypos
What was the name of the hotel the Bosom Buddies lived in?
The Susan B. Anthony Hotel, of course.
Where did Laverne & Shirley take place?
Milwaukee, WI. In a garden apartment. ;)
Name three Happy Days spinoffs.
Laverne and Shirley
Joanie Loves Chachi
Mork and Mindy
Banski's Beauties (somehow spun-off to another decade too without the excuse of Mork ;) )
Out of the Blue (like the Mork spin-off but a worse show)
And as a bonus, I remember the Love, American Style episode that was the Happy Days pilot.
Name 3 of the Sweat Hogs
Arnold Horshack ("ooh! ooh! ooh!")
Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington ("Hi there.")
Vinnie Barbarino ("What? Where?")
And as bonus, Juan Epstein, the Puerto Rican Jew. :)
On Full House, how were Joey and Jesse related to the girls?
Joey was Danny's best friend, not a blood relation. Jesse was their maternal uncle.
What was the dog's name on Full House?
