Omygod, you guys! AppleTV stopped working just now! I was so scared! So I unplugged all the cords and plugged them back in. Now it's working but I was so frightened. What would I do without it?!

AppleTV lets you stream online video directly to your TV. YouTube, Netflix, TV shows available online, etc.

Yep. I hook up my laptop to the TV for the same thing and it works great.
My roommate bought it. So not only do I get it for free but I have my laptop free for chatting when I use it. Campionaki and I tried to convince him that it would be a better idea to just get a computer to leave hooked up all the time but he was insistent on getting appletv despite the proprietary formats and everything.
Also, his TV only has mini HDMI inputs and my laptop only has an s video output, sooooo...
I miss having a TV. :(
I am mad because we cannot get this season's episodes of Big Bang Theory via Apple TV. Don't they know it is imperative to my survival?
