What shall we do about Room 101?

To go along with the board repackaging, I have an idea for this subforum. I think there are a few things to be done - use it more (I may wind up here a few nights with my fellow chat bitches :lol: ) and make it more fun.

If our beloved hatesfreedom will approve, I would like to re-name it The Ferret's House. He has been making some funny posts to that effect in here, as well as just harassing the inmates in general. I would love to see that continue! It would help take the sting out of being sentenced in here and would amuse the whole community. Also, if we end up going with an elephant theme for the whole boards, I think it would be cute to have a little ferret-themed subforum here.

Zuul had the idea of taking it a step further and allowing hates the ability to merge, edit, and otherwise fuck with posts in here. Personally, I think that sounds like a blast. He already has the title of "Honorary Mod", it would be great to let him use it a little.

Thoughts?

I really don't like the Edit idea. 101 is still a place for a poster in mild trouble to plead their case or a new poster to explain what they were doing that we confused for something else. The Merges might also be a problem.

The rename is awesome.

(Note my opinion, I am not trying to end debate here and am open to further arguments about why I am being a stick in the mud)

Yeah, I'm not sure about the editing idea, either. I do love the idea of renaming the forum and making it hates' domain, though.

I like the play on word in there that occurs to. "Hates Domain" is fairly good for The Ferret House.

I guess the titles can be "Locked in the Ferret House".

I haven't been participating much in the new board stuff. Is this where I vote hates leader?

Really though, the ferret amuses me and I think this would be really funny. I say do it, but consider the other names tossed around in chat. (Ferret's Litterbox, The Ferret Cage)

And someone 'shop a Fidel Castro hat onto a ferret, pronto.

I don't think that there's going to be much case pleading going on. I think letting hates run relatively rampant in the Ferret House is a fun idea. I mean, GB gives fenris mod powers for the whole board and isn't that essentially the same thing?

Two seperate ideas.

Hates gets his own subforum and 101 stays 101.

Easy.

I'll also bet that Hates' forum gets 3 times the traffic of 101.

This I am completely down with. I look at forums as folders and that is all. I don't mind special and temp forums at all.
