Ball Park Snack, You Can Only Have One

You got your beer. One sudsy domestic brew, warming in a paper cup.

What one snack do you choose to go with it?

Peanuts are a process. The shelling and chewing...a nice pace that keeps tempo with a well-pitched game.

Gotta go peanuts.

Nachos. I lurrrrve ballpark nachos.

All-beef frank, baby. It was touch and go between that and the pretzel, but I think I ultimately chose well.

I chose the hot dog but the pretzel is also a mainstay for me. When I use to sit in the bleachers at the Old Yankee Stadium I often got a potato knish.

Of the options on the poll, I'd go with the pretzel.

But I'd prefer nachos. Ballparks make the best fake cheez.

I went peanuts, but I always get a hot dog too. Steamy bun goodness with a good kosher hot dog and mustard sets a great base for all of the beer and peanuts that will follow, and like Olive said peanuts in the shell were just made for the pace of baseball.

I don't like mustard.

It was close between the hot dog and the pretzel, but the salt did me in. I always get my pretzels without salt, thus your salty pretzel offends me.

Only one, like hell. My annual trip to the ballpark is when the diet gets kicked to the curb. We're talking Death Dog with chili, onions, mustard and maybe sauerkraut (I have to kiss SWMBO before the order is placed because she won't let me kiss her after I eat it). Follow that up with peanuts and a big, artery-clogging order of nachos.

Food Of The Gods, I tellz ya!

I was at an Atlantic League game recently - I hadn't been to any game in over a decade - I'd forgotten just how good beer and a hot dog taste in that environment
