Ask the non-pedophile

I am a non-pedophile, sometimes technically termed a teleiophile. This means that I am exclusively attracted to adults. I wasn't necessarily always this way -- during my adolescent years, I was often attracted to other people my age, people who were not yet adults. Although I know I had teleiophilic tendencies even at that age; it was not at all unusual for me to feel a distinct attraction to famous actors or musicians, and even one of my high school teachers.

Having dealt with this attraction to adults for my entire adult life, I feel I may have some insights to share with the Mellophant community. There have been occasions in which I acted on this attraction to adults, although I'm not necessarily interested in discussing those instances in detail.

Modes, I hope you will help ensure this thread stays on track. I'm not interested in stirring up controversy just for the sake of it -- I merely want to make myself available to Mellophant members who may be curious what it's like to be a teleiophile.

If you were in a relationship with another adult and then he aged and became "old", would you still want to be in a relationship with him?

Ha ha ha, eww, no, I'd drop him in a heartbeat. I'm not a gerontophile, you know!

How often do you fantasize about other adults on a daily basis? Are you a teleiophile because you're gay? Are the two things related at all?

Constantly. I try to avoid ever being around adults, because I inevitably end up engaging in sexual fantasies about them, or even "grooming" them for future sexual activities.

Have you ever found yourself in a, shall we say, a romantic situation, only to have his parents walk in on you? Did they call the cops, or just give you a thrasing with golf clubs or walking cane?

What would you do if you awoke to find one of these "adults" you say you fancy going down on you/giving you a blow job? Would you allow her/him to continue and then only afterwards discuss "asking permission"?

Well, I believe adults are capable of consenting to sex from as early as 18 years old, and so I wouldn't have a problem with an adult performing oral sex on me at all.

I'm assuming you've been in relationships where your partner's parents learned of what was happening. Has there been any serious consequences from that?

Who should administer the consent tests, and who should pay for them?

Why, yes, I was discovered once and it led to me being kicked out of the priesthood. But I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise. The Roman Catholic Church would never cover up a teleiophile in their midst.

I don't think the default assumption should be that when adults have sex it's automatically rape. If the state wants to bring charges against me for having sex with an adult, it's up to them to prove that they couldn't consent.

I have to say I have a bit of trouble understanding people like you. I mean, I get that you must be attracted to adults, but it still bothers me on a visceral level. I don't mean to offend you, really. :):):):) !!!! I just can't get used to knowing this about you.

But aside from that, does it bother you that you lack the powers of invisibility that pedophiles have?

Hmmm. I may have to rethink my stance against sexual predators if this leads to super powers. Do you think simply masturbating all the time could be enough to trigger them?

Of course I do. All the time I've spent, thinking about adults and their sexy bodies, looking for pictures of them on the internet, even manipulating them into having sex with me -- I know it's shameful. I'm not proud of being a teleiophile.

Well, the body of a 17-year-old is a lot like that of an adult. You know, adult body hair distribution, adult musculature, etc. I probably could perform with a cute 17-year-old although, really, and sorry if this sounds disgusting, but I'd probably like him better a few years later.

You mean, end this constant, deviant obsession with adults and their body hair and fully developed sexual organs? Of course I would, no one would choose to be this way. It seems to be implying that there could be unnoticed pedophiles molesting your children. Because one should be paranoid at all times, including when your kid is sitting on the floor playing with a toy truck at home. Because if there was an invisible pedo there? Oh yeah.

"A few years"? Statements like that are what make me really wonder just how far you've gone and how often you are acting on these impulses. I mean, I have an older brother, and a lot of adult cousins (some of whom even have parents of their own), and there is NO WAY I would want you associating with them, or even imagining it.
I don't even know if I'd want you around my children. Sure it's fine for them to have their little crushes (which are not sexual and most people know don't mean anything) but if someone like you is around them what if they grow up thinking that they should continue to like adults once they get older. That this is somehow natural!? Because it sure isn't, I know you know that.

Exy, I cannot thank you enough for starting this thread. See, from about the time I was about 17, I had these feelings. I realized more and more that I had feelings, 'special' feelings for adults. At first I tried to deny it, I tried to bury it, I tried to ignore it. I never thought I could be one of 'those people', because they're disgusting, right?

But I think I may also be a teleiophile. Thank you for having the courage to speak up for us.

So, as someone who tries to be tolerant and compassionate, but doesn't want to do anything that would put a loved one in harm's way, should I ever let my adult friends and family members be alone with you? Can you be trusted to control your sick urges because you know how harmful they are, or should I just keep all the adults I care for out of your way?

The thing is, I don't want to hate you or be mean to you, because I know you can't help the way you feel. But at the same time, I wouldn't want to be known as "that wife," who left her husband alone to be molested by a teleiophile.

I don't know what to say anymore, since I've now fallen in love with a boy who will be 17 for all eternity! I guess my condition has been cured by the power of Mormon Jesus and my love for my Edward! <3<3<3
